When she woke up, she was in a very familiar, luxurious room. It was much more luxurious than the room she had stayed in at Jackson's house. She looked around, taking in the entire room. She laughed sadly. She laughed at herself for being blinded by love all these years.

“Isn't it so obvious to be loved and not loved?” Grace asked herself. She took a deep breath. She suddenly missed the room she was currently living in. When she lived in the Brown Family, Grace had all the best. The family was even better at treating Grace than Shane. Because Grace was a big trust that they had to take care of. She was guarded like a jewel.

“No one loves me more than the Brown Family.” Grace said weakly.

The door to the room opened with the appearance of Shane and his parents.

“Are you awake? I was so worried about you.” Shane said softly.

“Grace, my daughter! My goodness, girl. Why didn't you ever tell me that the Forest Family treated you so badly?” Lindsay ran over. She hugged Grace tightly, then cried because it hurt to see Grace's current condition.

“Why did you tell uncle and aunt?” Grace looked at Shane, demanding an answer.

“I'll be so angry if he doesn't tell me this important news!” Lindsay responded immediately. “Do you no longer think of us as your family after you married that asshole? Why did you never tell us if Jackson wasn't treating you well?” The middle-aged woman showed her concern.

Lindsay understood Grace very well. She would never want to trouble anyone. Since childhood, she had always tried to please everyone. She was very obedient, honest, forgiving, and also very understanding. To Lindsay, Grace was the kindest child in the world. If she had a problem with Forest's Family, it meant that Forest's Family had a problem. Grace was never wrong in her eyes.

“The Brown Family will always be your family. You can come back anytime. You don't have to bear all the pain alone. If they don't want you, you can come back to this family.” Robin said very firmly.

Robin was the type of man who rarely spoke. However, his love and care for Grace was extraordinary. Love requires action, not just words.

Grace smiled faintly. Although her face looked very pale, she looked very beautiful.

“I'm fine.” Grace tried to reassure everyone.

“It's a good thing your grandmother doesn't know about this. If she found out you were being tortured by Jackson, her heart attack would come back. You know, your grandmother always thought of you. She thought you were so happy in the Forest family that you never came to see her after you got married.” Lindsay reminded.

Grace remembered. Ever since she married Jackson three years ago, she had been too focused on pursuing his love. Every day she spent her time just to attract Jackson's attention. All her love and attention were spent on him. So she forgot about the people who cared about her.

Grace felt very sorry for that.

“I'll see Grandma later; it's been a while since I've seen her.” Grace said with a smile.

“You'd better get some rest now. The doctor says your pregnancy is very weak, and you are at risk of miscarriage. Since you're low on blood, the doctor has prescribed a blood-boosting OABT. You just received a transfusion of three blood bags.” Shane was informed.

“Me?” Grace looked at Shane with a confused look. Her brow furrowed, she couldn't remember anything after she passed out in the hospital because the doctor kept draining her blood.

“Jackson is an asshole. He knew your physical condition was very weak, but he still forcibly took your blood. It's a good thing Shane brought you here before your blood was completely drained by him.” Lindsay looked very upset when she said that. The look on her face could not hide that she was angry. Her attitude was natural, as she was very worried about Grace's condition.

“Where did you get the blood for me? You didn't do anything stupid by donating your blood, did you?” Grace looked deeply at Shane. She knew exactly what he was like. Shane would do extreme things without thinking about himself if it were for Grace.

“What are you worried about? You and Shane have different blood types.” Lindsay answered all of Grace's concerns.

Grace sighed with relief. If Lindsay hadn't answered, she wouldn't have believed it. Shane had lied to her too many times on this one issue. The man had always pulled out all the stops to help Grace.

“I bought it because the blood bank was out of stock.” Shane replied casually.

Grace felt calm now. Everything would indeed be very easy if there was money and effort. It was just that stupid Jackson who didn't care about her. If he were in his right mind, he wouldn't have jeopardized Grace's life by draining her blood. He could have easily found a bloodstock somewhere. However, that fool had closed his heart and mind because of his love for Claire.

“Thank you, Shane. You always help me. I promise that I will repay your kindness someday.” Grace said solemnly. She felt that she owed the family a lot of favors.

“What are you talking about? You're Shane's sister; he should take care of you.” Lindsay emphasized.

Grace smiled widely. In this family, she always got a lot of love, even though she was just an outsider. While in the Forest Family, she was never considered at all. Even though she was the daughter-in-law there. Only Jackson's grandmother had really accepted her.

“Grace, damn it! I guess I was too nice to you! Claire is dying in the hospital, and you refuse to give her your blood!” Jackson's voice echoed from outside. It was followed by footsteps heading towards Grace's room.

The commotion made everyone turn their heads toward the source of the sound.

“Grace, where are you?! Come out and follow me back to the hospital!” The man's shout sounded full of anger and resentment.

“Sir, I'm sorry. You can't just walk into this house without permission. Please don't make a scene here.” One of the servants was reprimanded.

“Where's Grace? Tell that bitch to come out before I tear the house apart.” Jackson said sharply.

Shane was very upset at the curse Jackson gave Grace; he couldn't accept the woman he loved being treated so harshly. His hands were clenched into fists, his face was red, and his forehead was throbbing with anger.

“Bastard! Who does he think he is to insult my daughter?!” Robin said harshly, then walked out of the room.
