Chapter 8

The three of us formed a love triangle.

Someone had to leave eventually.

I knew it better than them.

I returned home.

I packed my bags soon.

The house I rented was already empty.

The next day, I left with my luggage.

Also, I brought the cat with me.

We arrived at our new home.

I then spent the afternoon cleaning up the house.

I went out again to buy cat food and a cat tree.

But soon, I felt regretful after the purchase.

I didn't even know how long I could live.

Where should the cat go after I die?

I hadn't thought about all these through.

I realized that I wasn't responsible for the cat.

I should have considered its future when I adopted it.

I stared at the ceiling.

The cat gently stepped on me.

It lay on my chest.

I guess that was it.

It seemed nice to live with it naturally.

I didn't have to consider the future.

If necessary, I could always find a pet boarding facility for it.

The cat could stay there for the rest of its life.

I didn't give the cat a name.
