JANE’S POV.

I knew Sarah’s heart was beating faster than mine as we walked to the doctor’s office. We didn’t say a word to each other, but there was an unspoken communication I could feel as we both held hands. She held me tightly, and we sat down and fixed our gazes on him as we anticipated his report.

"Your daughter Daisy is such a strong child; we almost lost her because she was in a very critical condition when you brought her in. She is stable now but please, you have to be very careful. I see this is your first child so I'll suggest you employ an experienced nanny to help you look after Daisy.

"Thank you, Doctor. Thank you so much.

"You are welcome. How are you feeling? You know you shouldn't go through all this stress; it is not good for your health. Please try to relax and put your mind at rest; your daughter is going to be right. She will be discharged as soon as she wakes up but you have to bring her back here if you notice any changes in her body tem
