57 - Hidden threat

To say Naya was surprised would be an understatement. She had known her father to be a one-command type of man. Once he said it, he would never take it back.

Seth saw the confusion in Naya's eyes. He discreetly said, "Before the sun sets today. I suggest we should return."

Naya looked at him.

Seth pulled his gaze away and for the first time, he opened, "I don't see the rest of your team. Where are they?"

"My father," Naya said, "Does he really want me to return?"

Without fulfilling her mission? How could this be possible?

The Light Shadow Pack's Alpha Prince glanced at Naya, his eyes gleaming under the sun. But whatever admiration he held to her, he had kept it hidden perfectly, masking it with a slightly prideful, aloof appearance.

"I don't know the details but yes, he said he wants you back," Alpha Prince Seth answered. Then he looked down, worry flashing through his eyes. "Our pack isn't in a good state. My father's health is declining and my sister saw a vision."
