59 - Unfinished task

Naya ran through the forest, her mobility not faltering a second. She had to find Billy quickly. By now, the rest of the Midnight Seven were most probably gathered in that boat.

As Naya ran, a familiar shadow ran to the distance that caught her attention. She squinted and felt her heart beat stop for a second.

It was that assassin again.

Falling into some dilemma, Naya listened to her heart’s wish and ran after the unknown man. That person was wounded so he couldn’t maintain his balance for a long period. Now and then, his movements began to slow.

Naya took the opportunity and lunged forward. Caught on guard, the man staggered and fell to the huge tree trunk.

Faster than the wind, Naya held his collar, took her knife out, and pointed it at the assassin's neck.

“Move and you’ll die,” she warned.

The man underneath the black mask winced.
