Chapter III: Attitude

After a week from New Year, Maye, Senna, and Therese prepped themselves for the reunion.

Senna wore her yellow strapless cocktail dress that they bought last week. She put on a hit-the-slope white fleece jacket to cover herself from the cold. As for the shoes, she wore a white touchdown bootie.

Meanwhile, Therese from the other room is lining up all the clothes on the bed. She can't decide what to wear, for she isn't satisfied with the dress they bought last week. Undecided about what to wear, she called Maye.

"Maye!" She shouted as soon as Maye answered the call.

"Why? Is there any problem?" Maye calmly replied from the other line.

"I don't have anything to wear!"

"What?!" Maye asked while frowning.

Therese became more anxious when Maye hung up on her. Still uneasy about what she should wear, she flips all the dresses on the bed. One by one, she put it over her body and looked at the mirror to see if it suited her.

In the middle of anxiousness, a doorbell irritated her. She walked with heavy footsteps towards the door. There she saw Maye already dressed and were in crossed arms.

"You hung up on me, and then you were here?!" Therese grumbled at Maye. But Maye just patted Therese's shoulder and slightly smiled.

"It's almost time, yet you're not wearing anything?" She asked as she was heading inside the suite of Therese.

"I don't have anything to wear," Therese replied in a low tone.

As Maye roamed the hotel suite, she saw a pile of clothes flipped and scattered on the bed and the floor. She paused for a minute at the sight of it.

While pointing at the clothes, Maye asked, "Woah! Are these things not clothes?"

Therese looked at her and hurriedly walked towards the bed to pick up the clothes on the floor. "I don't look pretty on them, and I can't seem to like the dress we bought," She replied.

"Clothes are pretty, and it will only depend on the person who will wear them," Maye said as she searched for the clothes that might suit Therese.

"Well, you can say that because everything suits you. You wore a simple red blazer dress paired with over-the-knee boots because you hated girly stuff and revealing clothes. But you still look elegant." Therese said and went to sit down on the bed, looking upset.

"You shouldn't say that. Everyone is pretty and elegant." Upon hearing it, Therese pouted, and Maye just smiled at her.

"Also, I think this dress will suit you. " Maye added as she showed a navy blue turtleneck sleeveless trapeze dress to Therese.

Therese looked at the dress and slightly smiled. She slowly stood up and left out a big sigh. Afterward, Therese put it on her and slowly went to the mirror, not expecting much.

While looking at the mirror, she paused for a while, and then she turned around. The dress suits her, and she looks dazzling. Therese was stunned by her reflection, and Maye just chuckled at the sight of her.

"Wow! You'll go out like that in this weather?" Senna interrupted as she leaned on the wall while she crossed her arms.

"Were you there the whole time?" Maye asked as she turned around to face Senna.

"Yup, the door was open, so I didn't bother to ring the doorbell," Senna replied as she walked towards the bed where Therese's clothes were scattered.

"Here, I think it will suit you too." Senna pulled off a removable hood dartwell puffer jacket from the bed and put it on Therese.

Senna and Maye looked at Therese, for they found her adorable.

"That looked perfect, just paired it with your black Emerson Chelsea boot, and hurry up," Maye added as she looked at her wristwatch.

So, as soon as Therese wore her boot, they hurriedly stormed out of Therese's hotel suite and rode the elevator down to the basement. Altogether they ran off inside Maye's car and drove to the 1990s resto-bar.

They arrived safely at the said place, and Maye parked the car facing the back of the resto-bar. Senna and Therese fixed their make-up before going out. As Maye was somehow boyish, she immediately got out of the car and waited for Senna and Therese.

As soon as Senna and Therese finished fixing themselves, they headed inside the resto-bar.

"Guys!" A familiar voice called them from afar.

They looked at the person who shouted to call them and saw that it was waving at them, so they walked there.

"Sorry guys, there is traffic," Senna said while removing the jacket and flexing her sexy curves to her classmates.

Maye stopped walking when she saw Senna. She paused for a minute and displayed an incredulous face. Meanwhile, Therese did the same. Maye found it too cringed that her lip curled up.

Maye walked towards them while shaking her head, but she noticed that she had forgotten her cellphone in the car.

As she turned away, she accidentally bumped into a hard chest. She looked up, and there she saw a cheeky grin. The man was tall, had a broad shoulder, and it was her past lover.

"Jon! Come here," Rodney called, and he was one of their classmates.

Being in an awkward situation, Maye decided not to get her phone and just sat with them. She sat beside Therese, who was facing Lucas. Lucas is Therese's past lover. Meanwhile, Senna is also facing her ex-lover, Rick.

"Uhm! Everyone might be hungry, Right guys?" Cony asked as he cleared his throat. "Why don't we order first?" He added.

"It's been a while, guys. Since we were waiting for our orders, would everyone tell us what happened in their life this past ten years?" Rica, their class president, asked while smiling brightly.

"Then let's start with the three cherry gals. You go first, Maye." Amie stated as she pointed to Maye.

"Well, I owned a Hotel without a man beside me. That's the only change I had for now." Maye replied while having her arms crossed.

"As for me, I was still the lovely, adorable, and kind person you know, except that I managed and ran a restaurant from my family. Also, I don't have a lover too." Therese stated while blinking cutely twice.

"I, too, have never changed an attitude, nor the three of us did. We just became successful, for I am a permanent teacher at Lorbes University, without a lover as well." Senna firmly said while she crossed her legs.

"Yeah, right! Who would even stay with such an attitude?" Maye's ex-lover said while showing its scornful smile.

"You're right. Such a childish person isn't lovely all the time." Lucas butted in and made Maye's ears tingle, knowing that she was a hot-tempered person.

"I also knew someone who isn't childish, though she always nagged at everything as if she was always right." Rick also stated.

Upon hearing them, Maye glowered at them for a couple of minutes and simply took a long deep breath to calm herself.

Amid the silence, one of their classmates, Rocco asked, "You don't have a lover means it wasn't since after graduation till now? Right?" showing his happily disgusted emotion.

Upon seeing his reaction, Maye's voice rose as she asked, "Is not having a lover disgusting? Why would you express that look to us?!"

"It isn't, but a hell of ten years is quite something, don't you feel lonely?" Rocco added, and the rest nodded as a response.

"Well, maybe they were still in love with us." Jon playfully said that made Maye's blood boils.

Maye clenched her fist upon hearing Jon's remarks, so she stood up and slapped the table while looking intensely at Jon.

"Who would still love an immature, mama's boy who doesn't know how to decide for himself like you?!" Maye said in anger.

While everyone was shocked by Maye, Senna calmly acted and said, "Ahh, guys, we will step out for a second. We will be back in five minutes." and she grabbed Maye's arm to drag her outside.

Therese followed them and carried Senna and Maye's stuff.

"Meanwhile, the three men followed them, giving a reason that they'll smoke so that their classmates won't need to worry.

Angry Jon searched for the three and found them in the parking lot. Along with Rick and Lucas, Jon irritatedly approached them and said, "Do you have to tell that to them?!"

Having been surprised by their presence, Senna just uttered, "Guys, it's been said and done. Let's bygones be bygones."

"She was the one who can't forget!" Jon added as he pointed his finger at Maye.

"But you started it!" Maye butted in as she pushed Jon so hard.

"Why won't you just admit it? You still like us!" Rick teasingly said.

"There isn't anything to like anymore, you dimwits!" Maye again loudly stated.

The three were pissed off by what Maye said. As Jon glared at Maye, he pushed her hard enough to make her fall to the ground.

Senna was stunned by the sight of Jon and Maye that she couldn't react fast. But not long when she aided Maye to stand up. Amid the chaos, Therese was perplexed and kept looking at someone, but what was surprising was when she shouted, "Babe!"
