Chapter I: Three Friends

It was the end of the year, and three friends met outside to bond, just like they usually did in the past ten years. They went shopping with the company of each other, went to the salon to beautify themselves, and ate together while waiting for New Year's Eve.

They laughed, played around, and soon got tired of each other as they always celebrate the end of the year with each other. The three began to walk with a heavy footstep and listlessly looked for a place to rest. So, when they saw a bench, the three then hurriedly ran off and went to sit there.

When they were seated, there was a moment of silence. The three were listlessly looking at the people walking past them. Because of tiredness, they leaned with each other, Senna being in the middle, leaned her head off to Therese as Therese leaned her head to Sena's shoulder. 

After a couple of minutes, Senna broke the silence and asked with her languorous face, "Isn't it too usual?" 

Therese nodded and lazily replied. "It is, but what should we do? It's not as if we could effortlessly call a man to come and join us." 

Afterward, they slowly tilted their heads to Maye as they got no response from her. But they found her focused on tapping the screen of her phone. Since they were tired, they didn't bother her and just sighed and looked back at the passersby.

Just a couple of minutes passed by, and Maye interrupted them while smiling, then she spoke, "How about we go to the reunion?" 

Senna and Therese immediately looked at her with confusion. Afterward, the two looked at each other for a minute before they could react, then at once, they shouted "Reunion?!" excitedly.

Maye was slightly shocked at the two's reaction and ended up chuckling, then she replied, "Yes, they just created a group chat and added me." Afterward, she showed her cellphone screen to the two.  

Senna and Therese then leaned forward and got close to the phone. They read the message aloud, * It's already been ten years, guys. Don't you think we should have a reunion? *

Afterward, Senna commanded Maye while crossing her arms and said, "Hey Maye, reply to his message," so Maye did. They sat beside Maye, making her sit between them.

As Maye continued tapping on her screen to reply to the message, Senna and Therese continued to lean towards the cellphone, suffocating Maye.

Maye couldn't see the screen anymore as the two continued moving their faces towards the cellphone's screen, reading their classmate's messages. It even continued for two minutes, although Maye had lifted the cellphone. She even stood up to remove the two from blocking her sight, but still, the two won't budge.

"Guys! What are you both doing? When would I reply if you were blocking me?!" Maye whined as she couldn't stand it anymore, and her loud voice shocked the two. They looked at Maye and somehow felt nervous. When Maye showed a poker face, Senna and Therese soon let loose and sat down to leave Maye alone.

The two then didn't interfere with Maye anymore and patiently waited for her. They once again looked at the passersby with their languorous faces.

Maye continued replying to their classmate's message, and after a minute, she sighingly said, "Finally, I've sent it quick and quiet."

She looked at the two, who seemed to not listen to what she said. They were staring at something, so Maye looked to where it was, and she saw an ice cream stall and thought that the two wanted some.

Maye tittered at the sight of the two, so she stood up to go towards the stall. But Maye wasn't almost half of the way to the ice cream stall when Senna spoke.

"Should we pick new dresses?" 

In surprise, the two looked at her, but Maye immediately shook her head as a sign of disagreement. "I don't think we should. We have tons of dresses already. And it is winter, so our dress is hidden." Maye added. 

Afterward, she looked back to the two who were still sitting.

Senna sighed before nodding. Afterward, she stood up and said, "Yeah, right." 

Senna grabbed her things slowly, and Therese followed. Together they turned their backs on Maye and were slowly walking away.

Upon hearing Senna, Maye saw the disappointment on her friend's face. Wanting to make them happy, she couldn't help but leave a big sigh and called them to say, "Alright, you both won, but let's put our stuff in the car first."

The two who turned their back at Maye smirked as if they knew that this would happen. So, after hearing Maye, they immediately run off to the parking happily. Maye, who was left behind, couldn't help but smile widely.

As soon as they got to the parking lot, Maye opened the back door quickly because Senna and Therese were tilting their toes up and down repeatedly as a sign of excitement.

"Are you both that excited?" She asked, and then Therese and Senna smilingly nodded at once. 

Maye again tittered at the two and then helped them put their things in her car. Afterward, they headed off inside the mall, and then the two hurriedly ran to the clothing store, leaving Maye behind again. 

"Look at this, guys! It's cute, isn't it?" Therese asked in amusement while showing the pink dress to Senna. 

Senna then looked in her direction while also holding her chosen dress in her hand. They both looked at each other eyes, and then Senna raised both of her eyebrows twice. Afterward, she raised her thumb as a sign of agreement.

"WAAH!!" Maye shouted, and so the two ran after her. They saw Maye fitting a red blazer dress and screamed because of her delight. 

As they both saw her, their shoulder immediately fell. In their minds, they wanted to whack Maye for making them feel nervous for nothing.

"Isn't it cute, guys? I look pretty in this blazer, right?" She added while posing in front of the mirror.

"Hah! I taught you don't want to buy a new dress." Therese sarcastically said while raising one of her eyebrows.

"Hehe, I found it cute, though. Come on, try yours too." Maye awkwardly said as she pushed the two inside the fitting room.

Senna and Therese put their chosen dress on, and as soon as they saw their reflection in the mirror, they clapped loudly and giggled together. 

They went outside the fitting room, showing themselves to Maye. There was a moment of silence before they shouted altogether, "WOOH!!" in amusement. Afterward, they covered their mouth in awe.

Senna began walking like a model for fun. Therese played along and sat at the stool like a princess. Soon, Maye followed and leaned on the fitting room door while having her arm crossed. Altogether they posed like in a photoshoot.

Senna was wearing her strapless cocktail dress that is color yellow. The dress's design has stripped at the waist, which shows Senna's sexy curve.

As per Therese, she was wearing a fit-and-flare pink dress. The dress design is backless, allowing people to see how even the back of her body has flawless skin.

They were having the best day of their lives, laughing at each other's antics. And then there is a familiar voice that brings them back to reality. 

"Ma'am, are you going to buy all the dresses?" The saleslady awkwardly asked as she walked between the three. 

The three then become quiet, as they soon felt embarrassed at what they did. And, when the three realized that people were also looking at them, they stood straight and smiled at them awkwardly. Slowly, they walked inside the fitting room.

They changed quickly and immediately paid for the dress they tried. Afterward, the three walked outside the shop quietly and acted as if nothing had happened.

As they headed outside the mall, they sat at an empty bench. This time, the three didn't sit down listlessly and were not in silence, but they laughed so loud at how foolish they were earlier. 

After having fun, they went to a hotel that Maye owned where they lived. Though they didn't live in the same room, instead, they lived in the next room to each other. 

While Senna is unlocking her door, she lazily said. "Hey, guys! Don't forget our plan later. I'll just rest for a bit." 

"Me too! I feel like the world is spinning." Therese replied as she was waving to both of them.

"Sleep well, my loves! I'll see you both later." Maye smilingly said to the two, standing from her left and right.

Altogether they head inside their rooms.
