I walk downstairs in a baby blue jumpsuit that consists of shorts and a tank top. I was barefoot because I didn't care about how I looked in the house. I made sure that I took off my makeup from earlier and put my hair in a messy bun. Luca smiles as I met him at the bottom of the steps. "You look beautiful," I roll my eyes.
"I do not. I just took a shower." He nods.
"You look beautiful just being you," I smile.
"Thanks," He nods. We walk to the dining room and Dex was nowhere to be seen. I turn to Luca. "Where is he?" He shrugs.
"I got here and he wasn't here so I have no idea." I nod slowly. I hear clicking behind me to see Olivia. She looks at me and gives me a small smile.
"Thank you for sticking up for me with Dex." I nod.
"He lets his temper get out of control sometimes." She nods in agreement. The bell rings and I look back at the door.
"Ignore it. Hunter, the butler, will get it." Luca says. I turn to him with crossed arms.
"When did we get a butler?" He looks at me.
"We've always had one. You just haven't noticed because he isn't here when Dex is." I nod slowly.
"Mrs. Wilson?" I hear. I turn to the voice to see a man wearing a black button-up and black dress pants. He had his hair a bit spiked and he smelled like aftershave. I give him a small smile. "Your guest has arrived." I open my mouth to reply as he moved and I saw Ken. I smile at him. I look back at the guy.
"Thank you," He nods. He walks away. I look back at Ken. He chuckles.
"Mrs. Wilson? You aren't married yet." He said. I cross my arms.
"I will be in two days." He rolls his eyes.
"Unless I do something to change it," He mumbles. I tilt my head.
"You can't. Dex already told you that." He shoves his hands in his pockets.
"You know me better than anyone. You know that I am capable of getting the thing people want the most in the world. Surely Dex wants something desperately." I let out a dry laugh.
"Yeah, well if you ask him, he will say that the only thing he wants that much is-."
"You," I hear him finish. Ken turns to see him walking into the dining room. Dex gives him a small smile.
"Exactly what I was guessing," I said. Dex looks at me.
"You look lovely," I give him a confused look.
"Why does everyone keep saying that?" He smiles.
"Because you do. Makeup doesn't make you look beautiful. Your face does that. Makeup just heightens everything and underlines it. Just like coloring. You outline but you don't have to color it in to see the picture with color but you do so it's easier to see the beauty." I sigh.
"You see things a different way," He nods. He looks at Ken.
"Thank you for joining us," He hums.
"I didn't get much of a choice. You had Grace ask me. I usually can't say no to her." Dex smirks.
"I've noticed." Ken looks at me.
"I'm going to regret this aren't I?" I nod.
"Probably," He sighs. I look back at Luca and Olivia to see them both in the kitchen mumbling. I tilt my head while watching them until Luca looks at me. He smiles and walks into the dining room with food.
"Dinner is ready," I nod and walk to the table. Dex pulls out a chair for me and I sit down. He pushes it in and places a kiss on my cheek. I look at him surprised. He walks to his seat and looks at Ken. He shakes his head as he sits down. I shake my head at them. If I didn't know any better I would think that Dex was jealous of Ken. Everyone sits down and I open my mouth to say thank you to Luca when the front door opened.
"Seriously, Dex?" I hear someone yell. I take a deep breath and look towards Kimmy who was stomping her way into the kitchen. She slapped a piece of paper on the table again and looked at him with her arms crossed. Dex looked at her.
"You have some nerve walking into my house raising your voice like that." He said. She glared at him.
"I highly suggest you change the numbers or I go to your father about them." She said. I let out a loud sigh. She looks at me. "Something you would like to add?" I look at her with a smile.
"I'm glad you asked." I stand up and walk over to her. I point at the door and look at her. She looks at me surprised. "Get out of my house," She scuffs. I fake smile. "I only ask once."
"I'm not leaving until I work this out with Dex. This is between him and I. It has nothing to do with his new toy." I grip her by her throat and push her into the wall. She gasps for air.
"Grace?" Ken said. I glance his way only a bit before looking back at her. I hum.
"Whatever business you have with Dex involves me, honey. So don't you think for a second that it doesn't. I am going to be his wife which means whatever deals he has are going to be mine. I sure hope the deal he made with you doesn't end with a bullet in your brain. I sure would hate to waste a perfectly good bullet." She gasped a few more times before I felt a hand on my waist.
"Grace?" Dex said calmly in my ear. A shiver rain down my body as I look at him. He smiles. "Take a seat baby. I can handle this from here." I look back at her and glare.
"I suggest you keep your business out of the house and don't interrupt another meal." I let her go and walked back over to the table. She held her neck as she selfishly gasped for air. Dex looked down at her.
"The numbers are right. I discussed them with my father himself. Now I sure hope my fiancee made herself clear. I don't know if she will be so kind next time you bother to burst through my door again." I look at her with a smile before glancing at Ken who looked both shocked and turned on.
"You made yourselves clear. It won't happen again," She breathed. Dex sat back down as she walked out the door. Dex chuckled as he looked at me.
"What was that about?" I shrug.
"I warned her about what would happen the next time she decided she wanted to play the boss," I said. He hums.
"Damn sparky," Luca said. I look at him to see him with a smile. "You are a force to be reckoned with," I roll my eyes.
"Let's just say it's been a long day," He nods.
"Noted," I look back at Dex. He takes a drink of his rum before looking at Ken.
"Kenneth?" Ken looks at him. "Next time you think it necessary to put Grace in check? Remember who she belongs to and check your place. She doesn't do anything unless I want her to. If I thought she was being too drastic I would have said something myself." Ken nods.
"My apologies," Dex hums.
"That would be the second time you had to apologize for a mistake like this. Let's not make it a third time." I scuff causing both of them to look at me. Dex raises an eyebrow. "Something you'd like to add?"
"Could you maybe be a little less of an ass. I am not an object. He apologized. He was just a bit surprised." Dex folds his arms and looks at me.
"You are not an object, you are right about that. But I do own you whether you like it or not. I do and say whatever I want to you. You simply obey me. If you are given an order from someone other than me I highly suggest you look my way for my approval." I scuff and stand up. "Where are you going?"
"To the bedroom. You've been acting like an ass since your brother came here to visit." I said getting ready to walk out the door.
"Sit down," He said calmly. I stop and sigh. I turn back around and sit down at the table and look at him.
"Wolf," I mumble. He smiles.
"I'm sorry, Grace. My temper gets the best of me sometimes." I look at him shocked.
"Did you just apologize?" Luca asked. Dex looks at him.
"Stay out of it, Luca." He said. Luca chuckles.
"It's official. Dex is whipped." He said. Dex gripped his fists.
"Luca," He hissed. I look at Luca.
"Do you have a death wish?" Luca rolls his eyes.
"Dex will beat the crap out of me but he would never kill me. Even if I were to kiss you. He would never wish me dead." I raise an eyebrow.
"Let's not poke the bear to find out," I said. Ken chuckles.
"Well, I can see why I am here." I look at him. He shoves food into his mouth. I give him a confused look.
"And why is that?" I asked. He glances at Dex before looking back at me.
"For your husband to show me where my place is. After I budded in yesterday with Olivia he had to make sure I knew where I stood in your world." I look at Dex. He smiles as he looks at Ken.
"You're learning," Ken gives him a glance before looking at me.
"It would seem your husband does not trust me around you." Dex chuckles.
"Funny, I thought I made that clear." I look at Dex.
"Dex lets his ego get in the way most of the time. I suppose you budding in doesn't help but he is typically nice." Luca scuffs.
"Dex isn't nice around anyone new. And with these two's history, I'm surprised Kenneth is even sitting at the table let alone alive." He said. I look at Luca as he shoves food in his mouth. I look back at Dex. He looks at me.
"You are the only reason he isn't dead." I look back at Ken. He smiles as he leans back in his chair.
"Aren't I lucky to know you?" I shake my head.
"Don't overdo it. He still might kill you." I said. He shakes his head.
"As long as you care about me he wouldn't touch me. That is why he gave me a second chance." I roll my eyes.
"And there you go overdoing it." He chuckles.
"I have to enjoy it at least a bit. There are only a few people to piss off the big bad wolf and make it out alive." I look at Dex as he looks at me. I lean on the table.
"I didn't know you two had a history?" He smiles.
"As I said before in the past, there are some things you don't know. But if you ask about it I will give you an honest answer." I nod slowly.
"So what is the story between you two?" He chuckles.
"That is a story for another time. I have no problem telling you but not that this moment."
"Okay," I look back at Ken as he smiles at me.
"Trust me it's worth the wait. I'm sure Dex is going to make it more dramatic then it really is." I roll my eyes.
I get up out of bed with Dex still asleep which I didn't mind. I get into the shower and I stayed in there for a while before getting out. I wanted to prepare myself for the long day I was going to have. I walk out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around me. I walk up to my closet and look in the closet. I sigh. "Is there a problem with your wardrobe?" Dex's voice filled the air. I look back at him. He was sitting up and leaning against the backboard of the bed. "We are having a big dinner with your family and a bunch of people I don't know. I don't know what to wear." He smiles. "Do you want a new outfit?" I scuff and look back at the closet. "There are over a thousand outfits in the closet that I haven't used and doubt I will be able to wear them all." He sighs as he folds his arms behind his head. I look at his muscles and veins that were popping. "What would you like me to do?" He asked. "Put a shirt on," I mumbled. He gives me a small smirk. "What?" I clear my throat an
"Remember what I told you?" Father asked me as he turned to me. I look away from the white oak door to him and nod. "Stay quiet and smile?" He gives me a slight grin. "As soon as we walk through that door the deal is done. Dex is free to deal with you as he pleases. I would try to listen as best as you can because his temper is almost as bad as mine." I swallowed harshly as I glanced at Mom who looked at me with a smile and nodded. I look back at Father and nod. "Okay," I breathe. He nods and turns to the door. It opens and I get a heavy wave over my chest. I knew this was it. I was going to get married at the age of 24 to a man I'd never met. Father stepped inside and was greeted by a man who looked a few years older than me. He had black hair and brown eyes. He looked very fit as if he worked out every day. He dressed in designer clothes that a rich man would wear. He spoke with a Mexican accent as he shook father's hand. I glanced at the guy standing next to him who listened to
I walked out of my room wearing a looser dress that hugged me on the top but was loose on the bottom. I didn't bother wearing shoes because I was inside and didn't plan on going anywhere. I was halfway down the steps when Luca peeked around the corner and smiled. "I was just about to go get you. Food is done." I nod. I opened my mouth to reply when a pair of hands placed on my waist. "You look beautiful." Dex breathes in my ear. I smile and look at him. "When did you get back?" He smiles. "Half an hour ago." I gave him a sad look. "You didn't tell me." His smile deepens. "I didn't think you wanted to be bothered." I nodded. "With Luca cooking, I was bored watching tv." "I will remember to check in with you next time." I smile. "Good." He chuckles. I turn as his hands drop. I finish walking down the steps and get to the kitchen to smell the rich scent of the spaghetti sauce. I hum as I walk up to the table. Luca looks at me. "I'm guessing you like spaghetti?" I nod. "It's one

I stand up from the couch as Luca sits up from the other couch where he was watching TV. Dex looks back at me and I look at him with a small smile. My eyes went to my father as he turned to me. I gulp as he narrows his eyes. I look down. "Grace?" Dex said. I look up at him to see him watching me. "Yes?" He holds out his hand. "Come here beautiful." I walk over to him and he wraps his arm around me. He places a kiss on my cheek and I let out a small smile. "How did your shopping go?" He asked. I clear my throat as I lift up my hand to show him the shiny 18-karat diamond ring with three diamonds. One big diamond and two small diamonds. It was very beautiful but extremely expensive. I look up at his face to see him smile. "I hope you didn't pick it based on the price?" I shake my head. "I wouldn't let her," Luca said as he walked in. Dex looks at
I roll over to my side only to lay on someone's chest. I scrunch up my face and open my eyes a little to see it was Dex. I picked up my hand from his chest and sit up. I look around the room and sighed. "Lay back down and get some more sleep." I hear a husky voice say. I look at Dex and shake my head. "No, I'm up now." He smiles and pulls me back down to him. I fall on him and groan. I look up at him. He smiles. "I want more sleep." I roll my eyes. "Don't you have to go to work?" He shakes his head. "Not unless I want to. It's nice to be the boss." A knock comes from his door and he groans. "Go away, Luca!" He yells. The door opens and Luca walks in. "I wish I could but Olivia is here and Grant." I look at Luca. He looks at me with a smile. "Good morning sunshine." I smile back at him. "Good morning, Luca." Dex groans again causing me to look at him. He looks at me and stops. "You have to get up." He shakes his head. "No, Luca can deal with them." I shake my head and try to si
I look away from Olivia and turn to Dex. He looks at me curiously and motions me over. I walk over to him. "Sit, beautiful." I sit beside him, and he places his hand on my thigh. "What were you saying?" He spoke loudly, and I was a bit confused as to why, if I was sitting next to him, his head turned in Olivia's direction. She smiled as she walked over to us and sat on the empty couch. "I was asking her what made her so special that you chose her over me?" Dex lets out a hum. "Olivia, why don't you sit there and look pretty." She lets out a giggle. "What's the matter, Dex? Trying to hide the fact that you don't have an answer for me and you aren't trying to say the obvious?" "Please do tell." "You only wanted me until you got me in your bed; then you didn't want me anymore. That's the only reason you wanted to make a deal with my father." He smiles as he lets out a long sigh. "You don't get it, do you?" He said with his eyes back on hers. "If I wanted to sleep with you, I didn't
A Week LaterI walk out of my room and downstairs to hear Olivia and Luca arguing. I walk into the kitchen minding my own business as they just argued. I heard Olivia stop what she was about to say which caused me to look at them for a moment. "Speaking of the bitch." I rolled my eyes at her and went to grab a soda out of the fridge when she stepped in my way. I looked at her bored of her games."Olivia, I highly suggest you try not to get on Dex's bad side today.
