Chapter 10

I get up out of bed with Dex still asleep which I didn't mind. I get into the shower and I stayed in there for a while before getting out. I wanted to prepare myself for the long day I was going to have. I walk out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around me. I walk up to my closet and look in the closet. I sigh. "Is there a problem with your wardrobe?" Dex's voice filled the air. I look back at him. He was sitting up and leaning against the backboard of the bed. 

"We are having a big dinner with your family and a bunch of people I don't know. I don't know what to wear." He smiles. 

"Do you want a new outfit?" I scuff and look back at the closet. 

"There are over a thousand outfits in the closet that I haven't used and doubt I will be able to wear them all." He sighs as he folds his arms behind his head. I look at his muscles and veins that were popping. 

"What would you like me to do?" He asked. 

"Put a shirt on," I mumbled. He gives me a small smirk. 

"What?" I clear my throat and look back at the closet. 

"Pick out an outfit for me, I guess," I hear the bed shuffle and before I could turn around hands went to my waist. I look over my shoulder to see him looking at me with a smirk. 

"Do you really think you want me to pick out an outfit for you? With your luck, you might just walk out of this room in that towel." I snort and turn to him. His hands stayed at my waist only this time his chest was against mine. 

"You really want me to walk out of the room like this? Luca's eyes will be all over my body? Your bodyguards having a million dirty thoughts in their heads about how they could handle me. Your brother's sinful smirk as he looks at me. Is that what you want?" I asked. His smirk drops. 

"You made your point," I shake my head. 

"I don't think I did. Maybe I should make it more clear. Should I go have a conversation with Luca?" His hands-on my waist tightened a bit and he growls. 

"You wouldn't make it out of the room," He warned. I smirk. 

"We'll see," I took a step back to test him and go to turn to the door. He grabs me gently and throws me on the bed. My towel falls to the floor before I make it to the bed. He smirks again as he walks over to me. I giggle. "Temper much?" He hums. 

"You are adorable," He breathes as his eyes roam my body.  I didn't bother being shy because he had seen it all before. I look at his chest to see his tattoos and his scars. I sit up and place my hand on his stomach tracing a scar. He grunts. I look up at him nervously. "I don't think you touching me would be a great idea at this moment. I mean you are naked." I look back down at his scar. 

"Where did you get this?" He looks down at it before looking back at me. I met his eyes. 

"My brother tried to kill me a few years ago. He wants what my father is giving me." I look back down at it. 

"Why isn't he in jail?" I asked. He snorts. 

"He is my father's favorite child. I'm only getting the company because I am the oldest. My father forbade him from being alone with me and if he were to try to kill me again my father promised to return the favor. Let's just say my family is complicated." I nod. 

"Yeah, my father sold me for money and my mother was sold to my father. My family isn't normal either." He grabs my hand causing my eyes to go on him. He smiles. 

"This may not be what you were expecting your wedding to go but I promise I'll try to be a good husband even if this is arranged." 

"You are right, this is not how I expected to get married. For starters I didn't expect to get married with a choice and my husband-to-be would be nothing like you. I was expecting someone like my father." He swallows harshly. 

"So you don't think I'm like your father?" He asked. 

"No. I'm certain your temper is worse and you can be aggressive if provoked but you don't treat people like you are better than them. You are honest and you are kind when you want to be. I think that you are better and worse than my father." He hums. 

"I think you should get dressed," He turns towards my closet and looks at all the clothes. He turns back to me with an outfit in his hands. I look at it to see it was a long white skirt with a slit down the side and a black dress tank-top. I stand up and look at it. He holds it out for me and I take it. He walks over to the dresser and grabs out white lace underwear and a white laced bra. He walks back over to me and hands them to me. I look at them. 

"I have to say for a man you have amazing taste in clothes." He chuckles. 

"And in women," I look at him. 

"I wouldn't say that." He smirks as he places his hand on my hip and slowly brings it to my lower back. He pulls me to his chest causing my hand to lay flat on him. He bends down and kisses me softly. I kiss him back almost instantly. He hums. 

"I would," He said. I smile. He drops his arm and backs up. "Get dressed. We have things we have to do today," I was breathless. He was a Greek god with the devil's intentions. I get up and get dressed quickly. By the time I was done with my makeup and hair, he was already out of the room. I hear talking and one voice I knew all too well made me a bit nervous. I walk down the steps and Ken looks up at me from the couch as does Luca. I look at them confused that Dex was nowhere to be seen. As if he could read my mind he walked through the front door. He looks up at me. "You look beautiful. Though you didn't have to put make-up on. You look beautiful without it." I open my mouth to reply when the front door opens again and Jax walks through. 

"My brother is right. You are beautiful either way." I look at him and take a deep breath before looking back at Dex. He looks at me before turning to his brother. 

"Dinner is at 8. So unless you are here for business reasons then I suggest you leave." Jax chuckles. 

"Dear brother it is the day before your wedding. Why must you be so negative? I heard it's bad luck." He walks up to the alcohol table and I walk up to Dex. He wraps his arm around me before taking a deep breath. 

"Jax Wilson? It's been a long time," Ken said as he stood up. Jax turns to him and hums. 

"Kenneth Walker? My brother's biggest enemy?" Jax looks at us. "Well, I'm surprised he's here let alone breathing," Dex rolls his eyes. 

"My affairs are not your concern," Jax scuffs. 

"Well considering Kenneth tried to kill you last time you two were in the same room I would say it is." Dex snorts. 

"You tried to kill me and you are my brother," Jax rolls his eyes. 

"You and I have a complicated relationship. You and Kenneth don't even have a relationship." 

"We've found common ground," Ken said before looking at me. I look at him for a second before meeting Jax's eyes. He hums. 

"So when I compliment your bride, you want to rip out my heart? But your enemy is in love with your bride and you befriend him?" 

"It's not like that," I said. Jax looks at me. 

"Oh really? Please do tell," Dex hums.

"Don't bother Grace. He will never see things the same way as you." Dex says. I huff and walk to the kitchen. There was food on the counter and I look at it. I grabbed a piece of bacon and turned around. Luca smiles. 

"Please don't tell me that is all you are going to eat? I made it with love," I roll my eyes at him. 

"I'm not really that hungry." He nods. 

"Wedding chills?" I take a deep breath and nod back. 

"I'm going to be a married woman to a man I barely know." He sighs. 

"I know it sucks but on a good note you and Dex seem to be going great." I nod. 

"There are but I'm afraid things are going to change after we get married." He scuffs. 

"I doubt it. Dex is usually a forward person. If things were going to change they would have by now." I nod and look away from him. "Are you okay with being around William for two more days?" I look at him. 

"Yeah, if two days means it will be the last then I will smile the whole time." 

"Grace?" I hear Dex call out. I walk out of the kitchen and go to walk past the staircase as William turns to me. I take a deep breath before looking at Dex. He was in the living room sitting on the couch with a woman who was wearing a pencil skirt and a black blouse. She had navy blue hair and a brown shadow makeup look.  I walk into the living room as Dex looks up at me. 

"Yes?" He motions to the woman next to him. 

"This is Kate. The wedding planner. She has most of the details for tomorrow but she wanted to know if you wanted a certain color for everything." I look at her and give her a small smile. 

"Well I will be in a wedding dress so whatever color goes with white is fine with me." She lets out a giggle. 

"Okay," Dex sighs and leans back on the couch looking at me. 

"You do not have to like the idea of the wedding but you pretend you do. She is here to help." She smiles perky and looks at him while placing her hand on his leg. 

"It's quite alright, Dex. Some people aren't okay with marriage and some are. I understand if she is not." I cross my arms and look at her. 

"I'm being forced to marrying him so it's not that I don't want to get married. I'm not marrying him because of love. But that doesn't mean I won't act like a wife. So if you would please restrain yourself from touching my soon-to-be husband and talk to him more professionally that would be great." She cleared her throat and moved her hand. 

"My apologies, Mrs. Wilson. I didn't mean to offend you." I give her a forced smile. 

"It's quite alright," Dex chuckles as he stands up. 

"As sexy as that was I think you made your point." He said walking up to me. I look at him with an irritated look and he slides his hands around my waist. "Are you okay?" I nod and look away from him. 

"I wasn't expecting Jax or William to be here so soon," I whispered. He hums. 

"My brother will try to ruin this wedding so he can get what I have. Your father however I have no idea why he is here." I look back at him. He smiles. "Are you having doubts about your decision to marrying me?" I smile at him. 

"Why would I when I'm starting to have fun?" He chuckles. He bends his head down to kiss me and I kiss him back while closing my eyes.
