Chapter 4
Sansa’s Pov
Even though I didn't care about anyone else, it amazed me to see him alive and said “Father!” with a trembling voice.
I mustered the will to stand up and couldn't stop my tears from falling as I walked. I couldn’t stop my tears from falling as I walked closer to him.
“We were talking about you, Raven Elsher, the man in the woods looking for his wife,” the nasty Alpha mocked.
“You’ve made trouble for yourself, Samuel,” my father told the ruthless Alpha.
I shouted my father's name with all my might, but as I stumbled and a pebble caught my foot, I crashed to the ground. My teary eyes were fixed on him as I began to cry because I couldn’t believe I was looking at him after 8 years of life.
“You’re acting braver than before, and I like that,” harsh Alpha stated.
“Stop using her as an excuse to reach out to me, I am here,” Father Raven replied calmly.
Cruel Alpha was laughing to demonstrate how small and insignificant my father was to him. Alpha removed his hand from her hair.
For a split second, the woman and my father exchanged glances, and my father, enraged, grasped his fist to examine the minor injuries on her wrist. When Father ignored me, I got up and walked over to him.
“Father,” my eyes welling up and my voice trembling, but he didn’t react.
I stretched my hand to take his hand, but it slipped from my grasp; his presence was like air to me when I couldn’t hold it after trying so hard to contact him.
“I’m taking her with me tonight, and you won’t be able to protect her because you’ll be dead in a few minutes; if you have anything, just confess to her,” cruel Alpha teased, turning back to the Woman and grinning, “I’m not that heartless, giving him one last chance to speak.”
“Father?” I waved my hands, but he didn’t respond, as if I didn’t exist.
What was the situation? Was he under the impression that I was watching him? Was it all a dream? I was thinking to myself.
“You will be safe, I promise,” Father Raven assured the Woman.
The woman smiled and nodded her head, trusting a human above the werewolf.
“But you would not be,” Alpha laughed cruelly.
When I tried to shield him with my body, one of his men suddenly attacked my father with a stick. I stepped in front of him, but the stick reached through my body to my father as if I were thin air, and my father dropped to the ground.
“Raven!” shrieked the woman.
As the man was going to strike him with the stick again, my father confronted him and took the revolver from his pocket while pointing cruel Alpha.
“I would not mind pulling the trigger,” Father Raven threatened as he approached him carefully.
“Please, don’t shoot!” Alpha Samuel felt upset and scared by the pistol, raising his hands in the air. “Take her if you want, but please don’t shoot me, put the gun down, and I will let you go.”
Cruel Samuel began to giggle after pretending to be terrified by his adversary, Raven Elsher.
“Human, silly humans, “Did you steal your father’s gun?” Everyone was laughing along with Samuel.
“You’re just a weak human; you need a gun, but we don’t need a gun to save ourselves,” cruel Samuel said.
“How could you dare--- “ When I heard the gunshot, I came to a halt in the middle.
Father Raven shot one of his men, who collapsed on the ground writhing in pain.
“But you shiver and die from the weapon when you pretend not to be scared of them,” Father Raven chuckled.
One of them mutated into a werewolf, complete with grey fur, claws, sharp teeth, yellow eyes, and a terrible roar. When others began to beat Father Raven, he leaped on him.
My father used all the silver bullets, but they still managed to hurt him with their vicious beating. I mustered the will to shove them away, but I couldn’t touch them.
They didn’t appear to notice my presence; I tried touching everyone, but nothing worked. Was it all a dream?
If it was a dream, how could I be experiencing my father’s past when I hadn’t yet been born? Was I transported back in time? What exactly was I doing there? What brought me there? I wasn’t sure if it was all true or not, but I was stunned every second.
“Please, don’t hit my father!” When I was feeling duped, I begged for the illusions.
Cruel Alpha knelt in front of the woman and stated, “After killing him, I will kill the child, and then you will be mine,” cruel Samuel made fun of the woman.
“Please don’t hurt him,” she begged to spare my father, who was fighting for his life and ran into them all from time to time.
Samuel said, "I can provide you with a choice: leave him and the baby behind, and come with me, and I guarantee I would not kill both the father and the child."
“Yes, give up on the child and my father, just go with him,” I responded passionately, hoping to save my father when attempting to change the past or whether that was a dream.
The woman was watching my father get thrashed by the werewolves as he tried to fight back, but everyone knew who would prevail.
Even though when I realized that I was invisible to all of them, still crouched down and begged her. “Please, let my father go, if you love him, let him go.”
“Choice is yours,” he blatantly stated.
“I am ready to go with you,” the mother said, eventually abandoning her child and my father to save him.
Cruel Alpha grinned softly as Father was about to pass out.
"I accepted you, Samuel, so let Raven go!" she cried out desperately, being ignored by the Alpha's ruthless men. She was shaking his arm and begged him to stop his men.
Chapter 5 Sansa's pov "Please put a stop to them!" She begged, but Samuel remained silent, unwilling to speak when Father Raven was dying."Say you love me," harsh Samuel asked, which she despised accepting. It was difficult for a woman to speak such things to the alpha, who she despised and who was about to destroy her family right in front of her eyes. My father would have died in a minute if another minute had gone."I love you," her eyes were focused on my father when she confessed to the merciless Alpha Samuel."I can't feel you, baby," he said, Samuel grumbled in a pleasant tone. With a heavy heart and a broken voice, the woman turned her sorrowful look to Samuel and murmured, "I love you, Samuel." Samuel's grin did not fade as he accomplished something impossible for him.Samuel leaned in closer to her as he gently stroked her face and moved her hair away from her face. When she didn't move an inch and had given up on escaping from him. When Raven was being attacked by wer
Chapter 6 Sansa's Pov "The girl is in a trap, the rat is out to prey," said Grandpa Falkor."You have not done well to interrupt my party," Samuel replied angrily to Falkor, going slowly in the middle to show he wasn't reluctant."Everyone knows in the underworld I am pretty famous as a party crasher, I think you have forgotten how famous I am in your world, don't be a stranger to me, it hurts," Grandpa Falkor teased with a chuckle while exhaling a cigar smoke from his mouth to show off.Samuel watched all of his men die on the floor, covered in blood, while attempting to appear brave in front of the savage hunter, all of whom were terrified of him at the time. "You still have no power to kill me, because the Darkfur pack would not leave you, Falkor, you know how powerful the Darkfur pack is," nasty Samuel remarked. "I am not here to kill, no, no, I am not in the mood today, I am here to meet you," Grandpa Falkor remarked cheerfully, disregarding my father as if he didn't exist.Xa
Chapter 7Sansa's Pov Letters'Love, it's been a while since I've thought about you recently, it's been years since I've seen you, but your gorgeous face is still stuck in my head. I still visit the locations where we used to spend our greatest moments together.Walking down the beach with your hand in mine, while we were both lost in each other's eyes as deep as the ocean, your lovely smile made me feel alive. Those were the days I longed for. Back when you were mine.My life has changed since the day I met you; you were the best thing that ever happened to me; no borders, no restrictions, nothing could keep us apart. I believed I was strong enough to let you go, that I could live my life without you, but I was mistaken; I had no clue how wretched I would be without you.Your fragrance is still present. I can smell you in our bedroom, and your old outfits are still hanging in the closet, giving me the impression that you are still here. I haven't touched or changed anything in our
Chapter 8 Sansa's Pov When time froze for some, their hearts raced faster, and every second felt like a decade, with worry on their minds and 1000 thoughts flying through their heads.I kept asking myself questions for which I had no answers to calm myself down since my curiosity was unabated and I wanted to know more about the predicament I had found myself in.The conclusion I came to was that it was not the past, I was certain, I was seeing a dream, my father had never died before, he died on the day I turned 14, the same day my mother died years before. When an unknown woman was crying and screaming miserably and no one dared to interrupt her, a younger version of my father lay unmoving on the floor. My eyes welled up with tears, the same emotions I felt when I lost my father for the second time; my broken heart had been wounded by the agony of losing my father so long ago, and now I was facing the death of my father once more. I kept my cool while trying hard not to cry.Even th
Chapter 9Sansa's Pov Hello! Hello? Is anybody out there?Helloooo? Can anybody hear me? My voice reverberated, and I could hear my three voices back; I became stranded; now what would I face? I couldn't think straight after hours of walking and running, trying to find a way out; my hope was fading. I was hurrying, breathing heavily, the stillness was killing me, I was alone in the "nothing zone," the blank and black everywhere, I began to look for a way out, but no matter where I went or how long I ran, all I could see was blackness everywhere.I remembered standing in the freezing woodland, staring at my father's lifeless body, another trauma I was experiencing as Xavier was torturing my father. Even my subconscious mind understood I was watching a nightmare, but the human heart inside my chest generally reacted like humans. I lived my entire life among humans while my father sheltered me from the underworld; he may have already known about the awful realities of the underworld
Chapter 10 Sansa's POV The Pronouncement of Wonder? That curse law that I was suffering from, Xavier claimed me as his bride, how could he make another contract under the same law? According to the law of the pronouncement of wonder, only one bride can be claimed once in a lifetime, and no member of the Oak pack would create any other connection besides his bride. In the Oak pack tradition, the claimed bride would be more prized than any true mate link, although other packs valued the real mate relationship.Because of Grandpa Falkor's surprising disclosure, Xavier turned to face him, and the table appeared to turn. Xavier looked speechless. When Grandpa Falkor seemed to be in command of the situation. Grandpa Falkor remarked solemnly. "I offered you the pronouncement of wonder." The terrified pregnant woman gingerly rose to her feet, putting her stomach with one hand and experiencing pain in her injuries."Wait, what are you saying? Are you even in your right mind?" The woman wa
Love Is A CurseChapter 11 Sansa's POV "Mother." "Mom." "Mama." I was speaking to her, and the silence broke my heart. "I'm sorry, but," my mother Lucinda replied, her voice shaking.Grandpa Falkor's attention went to her, and he heard something from her that he hadn't expected."Claiming by the brutal, merciless, cursed alpha, my child does not deserve that," she murmured helplessly."Did my son deserve the state he's in today?" Grandpa Falkor inquired regretfully. My mother shook her head, trembling, and crying. "It's my fault." When Grandpa Falkor fought to contain his emotions with a heavy heart."Raven would have been living his normal happy life without me if we hadn't met, not by fate, not by chance, we both would not have been suffering," she burst out crying."Mom," my voice never reached her, but I wanted to talk to her, to console her when I sat next to her. Seeing tears pour from her huge eyes as she regretted meeting my father."You will only lose your son; I will l
Chapter 12 Sansa's POV My childhood home was in the heart of the city, and I spent my days with my father and grandfather, just like any other teenager.Living among humans, unconscious of my true origin, I began to notice changes in my body when I was 13, I began to detect new kinds of aromas from afar, and I began to run quicker than usual, human murmurs I could hear from afar.Things were never the same when I was changing; it was part of our lives; nothing ever remains the same, things change, and our bodies, minds, lifestyle, thoughts, and choices change through time; I used to think and try to accept the strange as ordinary.I had no one to confide in regarding my illness, which included nightmares, concerns, anxiety, and loneliness, among other things, and I never spoke honestly to my father about it.When I entered the house on my 14th birthday, I noticed that not everything was in its proper place. Everything had been destroyed.Windows that had previously afforded a glimpse
Chapter 72 The figure emerged from the shadows, acquiring shape gradually in the soft moonlight. I breathed a sigh of relief as the mysterious presence solidified. It was Levine, his face solemn and sad. My stress dissipated when I recognized him. I couldn't help but smile. "You know Xavier married Marina," I said Levine, a smile on my lips. His response was regretful, and his voice was heavy with disappointment. "Are you truly content?" Levine queried, his face betraying his anguish."Of course," I said firmly, my excitement obvious. "Finally, he has Marina by his side, the one he loves, and—"Levine spoke before I could finish, his words cutting through my excitement. "You should not be happy about it. Xavier didn't marry Marina to get away from you. He did it to keep you close, to keep you close to him forever.""What exactly do you mean?" I inquired, my perplexity growing.Levine disclosed a shocking reality to me.
Chapter 71 The voice of the Unknown Pack Leader trembled as he said what we were all thinking. "How on earth is this even possible?"As he met eyes with the Unknown Pack Leader, Levine's expression was a mix of rage and perplexity. "What are you doing here?"As we all watched the unimaginable unfold in front of us, the crowd began to murmur in a mixture of fascination and shock."I never send my guests away empty-handed, and I always offer them with enough amusement to remember for a lifetime," said Xavier with a sly grin to the Unknown Pack Leader.Members of the unknown group began brandishing their firearms and knives, bracing themselves for a fight.Levine, still stunned, turned to Xavier for answers. "What on earth is going on, Xavier?""I invited them here," said Xavier quietly. "They've come to pay the price for causing you pain."Levine's attention switched to me, his eyes inquisitive. It was a confusin
Chapter 70 As he continued to treat my wound, Xavier's fingers moved gently. "However, it is sometimes at these unexpected moments that we discover something wonderful."My cheeks flushed, and I averted my gaze, trying to disguise my emotions. "You're a philosopher, aren't you?"He leaned in closer, his words low and heartfelt. "Only when I'm with someone who changes my perspective on the world."When our gazes locked, the world around us seemed to fade away. The unpleasantness of the circumstance had evolved into a common understanding. He was different from the Xavier I knew in the present; he was kind, and he treated me properly although Xavier never treated me well in the present, not once.Xavier's words poured over me like a calm ocean wind, drawing me closer with each word. His eyes, as deep and tempting as the great sea, enslaved me. Frozen in a moment, the world around us seemed to melt away."Perhaps you're he
Chapter 69 Xavier made a quick and smooth approach. He approached my side with almost unreal slowness, every fraction of a second stretching into an eternity amid battle. His strong and soothing hand wrapped around my waist, drawing me in with an intimacy that sent thrills down my spine. Our bodies squeezed and merged. I could feel his heartbeat, a steady, repetitive beating that reverberated deep within me.My hair swirled through the air as he clutched me close. He quickly shielded me from harm's way after sensing the threat behind me that I had missed. A whispered promise of protection among the chaos. My eyes widened as I saw a horrific sight in front of us: a demon from the gigantic demon army, its body covered in the awful color of fresh blood. Its razor-sharp teeth and a crimson-stained sword made me tremble.I realized something in that heart-stopping moment. Xavier had guarded me from this terrifying peril, a brave deed hidden from view. He had put his own life in danger to
Chapter 68 Xavier, the calm voice amid the turmoil, interrupted. "Gentlemen, we must find a solution to close these mistrust and resentment gaps."Anthony, evidently irritated, fired back at Falkor. "Despite spending years hiding in the shadows, you appear remarkably self-assured, Falkor."Falkor, unfazed by Anthony's insults, reacted with a smug grin. "But, my darling vampire, the shadows frequently hold the most valuable secrets."The chamber became tenser with each exchange, weighted with hostility and the weight of history. Xavier's patience remained steadfast, a credit to his leadership. "Enough of this, you two. We are up against a shared foe who threatens us all. Isn't it time to set aside old grudges for the greater good?"Anthony's rage, a boiling tempest within, found expression in a final, cutting sentence. "I'm eager to work with anyone who sees that the past belongs in the past."Michael's voice trembled with real e
Chapter 67 My gaze stayed riveted on a heartbreaking scene amidst the upheaval and confusion that engulfed the battlefield. As three merciless Demons closed in on him, Xavier, the strong Alpha, confronted his imminent destiny with a courageous attitude. The Oak pack members and Vampires who surrounded us echoed my sense of helplessness, their features carved with dread in the face of an unbeatable foe.A revolver sat dormant in my grasp, its promise for deliverance thwarted by my hesitation. Though my heart desired to change the path of history, changing the past and the future, the intricate web of fate held me hostage. A bitter regret passed through me: if circumstances had permitted, I could have stood as Logan's beloved, free of Xavier's claim. If Xavier died here, he wouldn't be present to claim me, and the pronouncement of wonder law that united us would stay unformed. His death would not result in Levine's death, saving him from a gruesom
Chapter 66"But be warned, I shall brook neither violence nor the stain of inappropriate behavior," retorted Xavier, his voice an adamant assertion. "Your home will be comfortable, but keep in mind that any irresponsible activity that leads to self-destruction will be met with rapid resolution. I hope you're not going down the same foolish path and make no silly mistakes as previously."My presence seemed to break through the curtain of their conversation. Elodie's eyes met mine, causing my heart to race and leading me to take two steps back, covered in instinctual unease."The journey ahead has many uncertainty for you," said Elodie, her voice laced with mystique reaching my ears. "There will be decisions to make, ones that will carry the weight of life and death, salvation, and sacrifice. You will face the most intricate issues to authenticate your way through these trials. I sense a stroke of luck and an unknown source with mysterious energy leading you
Chapter 65Adam's watery eyes welled up as he began, his voice slightly shaking, "These times hold an extreme sensitivity." Towering darkness created by the invading dark army has sparked a desperate desire for salvation in everyone's hearts. Who, in the face of such impending danger, would dare to trust that their own pack would come to their aid? My mistake was a lack of faith, a failure to appreciate the breadth of your dedication."Xavier's words were gentle, and they could heal even the most broken hearts. "Buddy," he muttered, a delicate breeze carrying his words like a whisper, "In this struggle, I stand here not for myself, but as a protector for every soul among us. Our ties will stand the test of time."A stark difference emerged between the Xavier of old and the Elder Phycho Xavier who stood before me now, a tapestry constructed from two distinct periods of his life. Young Xavier wore his heart on his sleeve, drowning in sentiments and emotions.
Chapter 64As the first shock wore off, the Oak pack members began to feel uneasy. Their expressions conveyed uncertainty, mistrust, and residual animosity. Nonetheless, their devotion to Xavier and the exigency of the circumstance held them hostage.Xavier, the enigma that he was, stood before us, a light of unexpected hope. He was noted for making decisions that challenged convention. This night was no exception, with a gesture that could determine our collective fate.We were about to embark on a risky adventure that would test not only our strength but also our potential for change and progress, with the enemy-turned-ally at our side.In a world on the verge of disaster, Xavier's decision rang out like a clarion call, reverberating through the hearts of all who witnessed it. The old fights would become legends, replaced by a new story of togetherness, teamwork, and unrelenting will to confront the evil that threatened to destroy us all.
