Lilian POV

After finishing up the gardening with Lana, I exclaimed, "Phew, finally done! Great job, Lana!" She beamed with excitement and jumped up and down.

As we made our way inside, I decided to freshen up and told Lana, "Let's go wash up, sweetheart." We headed to the bathroom, and I quickly got her cleaned up. I then proceeded to take a long, relaxing bath while Lana played with her toys nearby.

As I finished getting dressed and made my way downstairs, I was surprised to find Damien, lying on the sofa in the living room. Concerned, I immediately asked, "Damien, where have you been? I've been looking for you."

With a serious expression on his face, he replied, "I went to a company that installs surveillance cameras. I haven't been able to relax since someone tried to hurt Grace. I want us to have cameras in the hospital halls for our safety."

I scoffed in disbelief, "Cameras in the hospital? No way! Why didn't you discuss this with me before making a decision like that?"

A guy like me can’t settle down?”“You and I both know this isn’t about settling down,” I said bitterly, trying to keep the anger from spilling over. “You’re playing a game, as always.”Lucas shrugged, completely unbothered by my accusation. “Maybe I am, maybe I’m not.
