My jaw tightened as I struggled to keep my composure. “That’s great to hear, Grace.”

Lucas looked at me with a mixture of surprise and unease. “Lilian, I didn’t expect to see you here.”

“Apparently,” I said, my tone sharper than I intended, “neither did I.”

Grace’s smile faltered slightly, but she quickly recovered. “Well, Logan and I have been working through things. He’s taking responsibility now, and I really believe we have a future together.”

I fought to keep my eyes from rolling. “I’m glad you think so.”

Lucas shifted uncomfortably, his gaze darting between Grace and me. “Lilian, I—”

“Don’t,” I interrupted, my voice cold. “I don’t want to hear it.”
