Xavier's mind went blank. "Has anyone been sent to search for them?"

"We've searched everywhere, but there's no sign of them, sir."

Xavier gripped his phone tightly. In that instant, all his hopes had been shattered. After hanging up, he calmly told the driver, "Step on it."

"Yes, sir."

The driver hadn't realized the gravity of the situation and was promptly ordered out of the car within a minute. Xavier took the wheel himself, flooring the gas pedal as if his life depended on it, racing toward Fortian Manor.

On the way, he called his bodyguards. "Find Yvette immediately. If you can't find her, you might as well die!"

Although there were only 20 minutes left in the drive, the journey felt interminably long. He kept dialing Yvette's number, but there was no answer each time. His eyes grew red.
