Chapter 240

Xavier immediately called back when he looked at that text message. However, no one answered his call.

Annoyed, he deleted the message.

Yvette was already lying in bed by the time Xavier returned to Dewberry Manor.

After taking a shower, Xavier slipped into bed and pulled her into his arms. He started showering Yvette with kisses at the thought of Tristan having a child.

Yvette couldn't stop him at all.

The next morning, Yvette listened to the sound of water from the bathroom and got out of bed. She dressed in her usual clothes, freshened up, and waited for Xavier with a small bag on her back.

It wasn't long before Xavier came out, dressed in casual clothes which made him look much more relaxed. When they walked out of the manor, it was cold as a drizzle fell.

As they were about to leave for Fortian Manor, Xavier's phone rang. Seeing it was Daphne calling, he hung up the call. Shortly after, a message came in. "Xav, please answer the phone. Something major happened."
