Chapter 204

Xavier was sitting in the backseat of the Maybach. He had been in the car the whole night, but Yvette hadn't called him even once.

When he saw her coming out, he rolled down the window. He looked exhausted. "Get in."

She thought he had just returned and was there to blame her for what had happened. So, she didn't get in the car. "If you have something you want to say to me, you can do it right here."

Xavier looked miserable as he said, "We still have half a month left to go."

Yvette's eyes flashed with a hint of surprise, and she got in the car. He didn't mention what had happened with Daphne at all, and she didn't ask him why he had only just returned.

After the driver started the engine, Xavier said, "Let's return to Lane Mansion today."

Yvette didn't understand what was going on. "Why are we going there?"

"There's a holiday coming up in a few days." He paused for a moment and continued, "Didn't you always say that you wanted to stay at the mansion with me?"
