Chapter 207

Although Yvette was wearing a coat, she still felt cold as she stood in the wind. Ray looked out for the surveillance cameras around him as he drove. Then, he waited somewhere close to her.

Soon, he saw the slim woman walking toward him. He immediately got out of the car and opened the door for her. "Thank you," she said as she approached him.

Ray got back into the car and attentively turned up the heat. Ever since Yvette had gone abroad, Ray had been the one assigned to protect her most of the time. Hence, he knew she wasn't a fan of the cold.

"Where are we going now?"

She leaned against the backseat and thought for a moment before saying, "Let's head back to Dewberry Manor."

Xavier would find out that she was gone soon, and she figured he would blame her for it again.

"Sure." Ray chose to take the scenic route to drive her back.

Yvette looked at the view outside and asked, "You were in a hurry to go back home. Did something happen?"

He tightened his grip on the steering wheel
