Chapter 3

A month passed, everything seems to be back to normal, her life was gradually becoming less dramatic and she loved it, Aisha and Daisy's friendship became tighter than ever, they always protected each other more. Today, there was a charity event hosted in their school, they were both in charge and major contributors to the event. Everything was going as the mood was light, while they both danced together. All of a sudden, Aisha felt strange, the room seemed slow, she looked around, she could feel his presence, she looked at the door, she could have sworn she saw Daniel passed with an evil smirk on his face. She couldn't breath, the air was suffocating, she felt stiff, Daisy noticed this, she tried helping her stand, asking what was wrong, the whole place was blurry and soon she fell unconscious.

She laid on a bed, tired and weak, she opened her eyes, Daisy was standing over her, she tried to get up.

“ Why am I here?"she asked.

“ you lost consciousness darling, what is happening with you?"Daisy asked, concerned.

“ oh I did", she repeated going back to what happened before losing consciousness, she gasped, Daisy sat down beside her

“ what is it, what happened".

“ Daniel, he is back, I saw him tonight at the party", she explained, panicking.

“ Are you sure about this?"Daisy asked again, horrified.

“ Yes, I know he was the one I saw tonight, I just know it, I know he will come back for me", Aisha answered scared.

“ calm down girl breath okay, come on let me call our parents, we would leave now okay", Daisy said calling her phone, she told them what had happened, she was ready to leave.

“ But what about the event?", Aisha asked.

“ Dora would cover for us okay, right now you need to be home safe ",she answered.

They both left the party, took a cab and were on their way home.

The journey was getting long, Daisy checked the road and her time, the driver wasn't going their direction,

“ Excuse me mister, this isn't the right way to go, can you please go back or rather drop us off", Daisy said.

Aisha looked around, it really wasn't a familiar route, she looked at the driver, horror clouding her face, she gasped.

“ Daniel", she exclaimed, Daisy took a closer look and to her surprise it was true.

“ Hello ladies, miss me", he scorned.

“ What are you doing, where are you taking us to?", Aisha asked, her voice trembling with fear.

“ my dearest Aisha, you know I missed you so much, we are going to get married dear and the good part is that your best friend get to be a witness to this marriage, isn't that a lovely idea”, Daniel stated.

Both ladies gasped.

“ is there really any surprise to what I just said, don't worry Aisha, I forgive you for your betrayal, I know you just missed your friend, that was why you needed to escape but don't worry, she will be with you always, I'll make sure to keep her as your special pet, we are going to be happily married with kids and it will be the most lovely ever", he went on.

“ she will never marry you, keep on dreaming", Daisy spat angrily.

“ You kidnapped us and you expect that our parents won't do anything to get us back, you are such a dreamer", Aisha added.

Daniel chuckled.

“ Do you think I don't have that settled already, well in loving memory of my soon to be in-laws", he said with a smirk.

Terror raced to their eyes.

“ don't you dare try to call anybody my dear, if not it is a boom", he threatened.

“ What do you mean?", Aisha dared to ask even though she dreaded the answer.

“ an explosion and a warning", he said simply, “ now keep quiet you two".

Aisha's mind was racing, she was much more helpless than ever, she couldn't understand why the obsession with her, there was nothing special about her and she wasn't even the prettiest, she was really tired of all this drama going on around her.

Daisy on the other hand was determined not to see his plans excel, she was strategizing in her head and looking for ways to overcome this problem.

Back at home, their parents were both worried about them, they kept calling and calling but their numbers were unavailable, they contacted the police and immediately they went in search of them.

They drove to an isolated area, it seemed like a warehouse of some sort, Daniel brought out his gun, coming down ushered them to do the same, in fear they followed instructions, he signalled them to go inside, sat them down and tied them,

“ Here is the plan and the most fun part", he started, he walked towards a wardrobe standing in front of the room, he opened it, the girls looked at him as if he was mad, “ your wedding dress my love", he said like a happy clown.

“ You are a sick bastard,'' Daisy scoffed.

“ Oh no no no, don't be jealous, I also got you a dress, this in particular, for a dog", he said, holding up a dog collar.

Daisy shot him a killer look, she was getting really furious and she just wished, if only she could set herself free and kill him.

“ now now, don't be mad , I know you love attention and extravagance so I decided to get you this, it cost alot you know ", he mocked.

“ Daisy I am so sorry, this is all my fault", Aisha said feeling apologetic, tears threatening to come down but she was fighting them in.

“ What are you sorry for, it isn't your fault", Daisy consoled.

“ but I got us into this mess and I am even more helpless instead of trying to figure out a way out", she continued.

“ Listen to me, you are my best friend and like a sister to me, literally you are the only sister I've got and I would do anything for my beloved sister".

“ You are also my sister and I love you so much Daisy", Aisha confessed.

“ awwnnn, such a lovey dovey moment, well that is settled then, our turn, tell me you love me ", Daniel interrupted

The girls went silent looking at him like he spoke gibberish.

“ Hmm, very soon then", he said, leaving them alone.

Once he was out of sight, Daisy checked around.

” can you untie me, I can feel your hands at my back, yeah close to the knot", Daisy asked.

“ yes yes, I can ,I'll try to do it now", Aisha replied and got busy.

After a minute or two, the knot was slowly coming loose, they heard footsteps, it seemed he was coming back, they composed themselves.

He came in with a priest who was looking scared and shakened, they suspected he must have threatened him and forcefully brought him there.

“ Well, it is time for our wedding darling", he said with a mean smile that gave her the chills.

“ What do I do Daisy, I don't want this for me", she whispered.

“ You need to go,okay and don't be scared, I am right here", she comforted.

“ or do you need your best friend", he asked.

They both looked at him like he said something silly.

“ Fear not, anything to make my baby happy", he added.

She nodded yes, he walked up to them, setting them free while pointing a gun to Daisy's head, this was his hold on her,

“ don't try anything silly or I'll blow her head off", he warned.

They both walked towards the wardrobe, she created a small shed so she could dress up properly.

“ Are you still here?"Daisy asked him, eyeing him from head to toe.

“ oh I can't leave you two alone", he replied.

“ do you want to see her dress before the wedding, you knkw it is a bad sign", she argued.

“ don't get cheesy with me, I don't believe that shit one bit", he pressed further.

“ Hmm, I am not being cheesy but truthful, it is a bad omen, you can point the gun from that far away okay", she insisted.

He looked at her not sure if she was playing a game with him or not, he stepped back a few steps away while still pointing the gun at them.

“ Just know I'll shoot if you try to play smart with me",he warned.

They went about their busy while keeping a close eye on him

“ What are we going to do", Aisha asked.

“ You need to dress up, the gown isn't too long okay so you can run with it, yeah", she replied.

“ what are you planning?", she asked again confused.

“ you would know okay, just let's go fast so he won't suspect anything", she replied.

They finished dressing up, getting set for the wedding, then stood in front of the priest, fearfully he began.

The police were able to track their phones and were able to locate them before they got disconnected.

They all hurriedly went after them.

The priest got to the part where he asked if there were any objections.

“ Of course not, it is not like there is a crowd here", he answered.

“ Actually, there is, I object to this monstrosity called a man and this sham for a wedding", Daisy interrupted.

“Aisha tell your best friend to mind here business or else ..", he threatened.

“ or else what, I should have put you in your place long ago but I entertained you, I literally created this mess and I'll fix it ", Daisy interrupted.

“ Well you made it easy but this isn't the time for that so step aside okay", he yelled.

“ of course this isn't the time for this nonsense, she doesn't even love you and never will, so get your head somewhere else ", she retorted.

“ look like little birdie already feels like superman, don't worry I'll make sure you go up there to save those little angels".

“ What do you even want, you need treatment", Aisha said.

“ but you are my treatment my cure, I want just you", he said almost like a plea

“ no you need help, I don't want all this, please let us go", she fired back.

“ Okay then, I'll just kill her", he said and without warning shot Daisy.

Aisha was quick enough to enter in between, the bullet going inside her, she fell down, Daisy screamed and so did he, he didn't mean to hit her.

The police heard the shot, following the sound, they rushed in, surrounded the whole place so he couldn't escape for the second time, their parents rushed towards them, calling the ambulance.

Daniel didn't want to go to the police station at all, he didn't want to surrender, he was struggling with the police officers, he rushed towards the ambulance and tried to kill Daisy as well but they shot him instead, six bullets to his chest, he was dead, Daisy was scared to death but had other things in mind, she followed the ambulance.

A month later, the noise had died down, Aisha was finally alright and healthy, receiving a therapy session with her friend Daisy. They were so happy it was finally over, they both sat down at the porch.

“ I am so glad it is finally over, it is time for a new beginning", Daisy said.

“ So am I, thank you for always being there for me, thanks for being my support and your love, I love you Daisy", Aisha said.

“ I love you too, time to party", Daisy said as they hugged each other and then brought out champagne to celebrate.

And that was how my life changed forever, finally finding peace.
