Chapter 1

Aisha pov

Glenfield high, the school where I was the queen bee until the unfortunate events, I am sure you are wondering what misery that could be, well let me take you back to how it all started……..

The alarm went off, Aisha stood up lazily in her PJs, yawning and stressing.

“Well, this is me, a messy beautiful teenage girl, my name's Aisha and welcome to my world”, she introduced as she stood up to clean up and get ready for school.

The bell rang as the students rushed to their classroom, Aisha stood by the classroom door, she was searching for something or someone, she heard her name and turned around excited.

A slender girl walked up to her, her hair in curls as it complimented her face, she walked to her in a classy rich girl manner and a bright smile.

“ meet Daisy my best friend of all time, we have been friends since we were 7 years old, our parents were also friends and close partners, we were just like a big extended family",

“ Hey girl", Daisy said as she hugged her “ I've missed you all summer and guess what, I've got the best news and you gonna love it", she screeched.

“Did I forget to mention, she is crazy and I love her still, also very loud sometimes”.

“ Well I miss you too dear, gimme a hug", she said, drawing her in.

“ bad manners, I just have a lot to talk about with you and I can't wait for you to hear it all".

“ neither can I", smiling then the whole room went slow for a bit, a tall handsome guy was walking towards her, she was speechless for awhile, Daisy noticed this and moved back abit, she turned to see what her friend was looking at and she could also feel it, she began acting flirtatious as he got closer.

“ Excuse me", he said trying to get past them, they seemed lost in their fantasies of him they hadn't noticed his presence.

He softly tapped Aisha on her shoulders taking her away from her thoughts, she stared blank for a while confused before regaining herself.

“ oh hi, sorry …..um …..who …who ”, she stuttered.

“ Excuse me please", he repeated.

“ oh ..oh", she repeated realizing what he meant, “ sorry, my bad ….of course", she said as she moved from the path gently pushing her friend to the side, Daisy got herself back then turned to Aisha giving her a mean look.

“ Thank you", he said entering the class.

“ I am sure you both have not decided to have your classes outside have you”, the teacher called out questioningly from the classroom.

“ Sorry about that miss Laura", they both said in unison as they entered the classroom.

“ Good, I can see all of you have settled in, hope y'all had a great summer", the teacher asked cheerfully.

“ yes", they all answered.

“ well we have a new addition to the class, Mister Daniel, please introduce yourself to the class", she requested.

“ Hi class, my name's Daniel and nice to meet you all", he said as gentlemanly as possible while looking cool, the girls I'm in the class, awwned.

“ shall we continue then", the teacher said, drawing their attention from Daniel to her.

The rest of the day went by quickly, Aisha and Daisy threw an early party at Daisy's house, the whole school was invited and they all loved their parties, they were partying hard, Daisy had managed to invite Daniel earlier and he didn't disappoint, he was there looking good and all.

“ You invited him", Aisha said, spotting him at the entrance.

“ Yes of course, he is such a fine man", Daisy replied, obviously drunk.

“ what should I do with you, how can you invite a total stranger into your home, God", she said with a frown

“ Come on, lighten up, what could happen with a safe classmate, come let's go introduce ourselves", Daisy said, dragging her along.

“ You made it, thank God", Daisy said as she hugged him or rather fell on him, “ oopsy, sorry, this is my friend Aisha", she introduced.

“ Thanks for inviting me, cool party by the way and nice meeting you, Aisha", he said, extending a hand.

She shrugged at the sound of her name, the way he called it made her feel weird and definitely not the good kind.

“ Sorry, don't mind my friend, she is a bit tipsy, enjoy the party while I go take care of her", Aisha said, pulling Daisy away.

He watched them disappear Into the party crowd.

The next day, Aisha woke up, they were both tattered and very late for class, she quickly woke Daisy who was still soundly asleep.

“ girl do you know what time it is", she said trying to make sure daisy was fully awake as she tapped her.

“ hmmm…..", was all Daisy could say, she was still trying to grasp her surroundings.

“ We LATE", she yelled, Daisy jumped off the bed.

“ jeezz, girl you don't have to tell, I can hear you", she said.

“ Then let's get ready for school okay", she said.

They were already a period late, they hurriedly walked to the next class, the teacher was already teaching when they entered, there was a pause.

“ Welcome ladies, is this the time to be here", the teacher said, checking his wristwatch.

“ sorry”, they both whispered as they walked silently to their seats.

“ the next time you interrupted me, I'll make sure to call your parents", he threatened before he continued.

The bell rang to signify the period was over, both girls sat down gisting with their other click, Daniel walked up to them.

“ hi ", he said, interrupting their conversation.

“ Hi", they all answered.

“ I wanted to say thank you for the party last night, it was fun", he said

“ Sure and maybe we could …you know just spend some time alone too", Daisy said, she and Aisha exchanged a knowing look, Aisha didn't seem to be keen on the idea but she kept quiet.

“ Sure, why not, I'll call you ", he said, leaving the girls alone.

Aisha looked back to make sure he was gone before she spoke,

“ I don't trust him at all, first we don't know him, secondly isn't it too early for all this", she said.

“ early, darling you know if I want something I get it, besides the early bird catches the man", she countered happily.

“ the man", Aisha looked at her one eyebrow raised, “ it is the worm".

“ Worm, what worm", Daisy said In a confused state.

“ The early bird catches the worm", Dora repeated. Dora was their closest friend also but not that close, she was a dark girl with a beautiful afro and pointed nose.

“ oh right, whatever", she responded and they continued chatting.

That night, Aisha couldn't sleep, she was really bothered with her friend going out with Daniel and she couldn't figure out why, so she decided to go for a spin, she wore her shoes and off she went, with her headset over her neck.

She ran for a while only slowing down when she felt her head lighter, she admired the night view and the cool breeze was everything, she took it all in but her attention was diverted again, she heard a sound, turned around but there was no one, the whole place was empty, not a single soul in sight, she continued walking, at this point she felt someone was following her but each time she turned around they was no one there, she felt uncomfortable and decided to go home back.

The week has been quiet, everyone going about their businesses, the class was noisy as there was no teacher today.

“ Aisha I have a brilliant idea", Daisy said as she called for Dora's attention.

“ hmm.. of course you do, what is it?"she asked, rolling her eyes.

“ don't do that, I promise It is worth it", she pressed on.

"it better be ", Dora chipped in.

“ Okay, I was thinking, you me Dora go on a small outing you know, it is the weekend, we could come back on Sunday evening", Daisy said.

There was silence for a while, Dora and Aisha exchanged worried looks.

“ and why do you want us to do that", Aisha asked

“ because I want to have fun and you know me, I love fun", she answered unapologetically.

“ I can't believe you, if I say no I know you going to stress me for a month so yayy….outing here we come ", Aisha said sarcastically.

“ Good", she said, clapping, turning to Dora, “ what about you".

“ what about me, well I have tons of things to do and I can't make it so I'll pass", Dora replied quickly, turning away before she was coerced into it.

“ Well then, I'll see you at your house by 5 yeah and we can go to the beach house", Daisy said standing up to leave.

Aisha packed all she needed and was ready to go, she heard the doorbell, she quickly rushed down with her things, she opened the door, shocked.

“ What are you doing here and how do you know my house?'' she said in a harsh tone.

“ ummm….Daisy said I should come call you, she is over there", Daniel pointed at the car.

Aisha could literally strangle Daisy If she had the will, she smiled a fake smile, took her bags and locked the door.

She got in the car giving Daisy a killer look but didn't want to say anything to her yet, so they drove off to the beach house.

It was night time, they got to the beach house, exhausted and tired, they all quickly retired for the day.

Aisha could smell something nice coming from the kitchen, she woke up with that heavenly filling and her mouth watering, she could smell good food, she follow the aroma down stairs to find Daniel cooking, she paused half way, surprised but even more shocked to see Daisy helping out with kitchen duty, she was processing it all in her head and It didn't just fit.

“ Good morning sunshine", Daisy said, seeing Aisha there.

“ Morning, what is this heavenly miracle I am seeing here, you cooking", Aisha said.

“ Is it that surprising, you doubt my capacity?".

„ your capacity doesn't even go into the kitchen so yes I doubt it my lady".

“ Well then, come have a taste of my deliciousness", she said, taking her a piece of hot dog, “ ahhh", she said, opening her mouth to express it better.

“ hmmm…I am not sure but okay", she taunted then opened her mouth to accept the feeding, nodding her head in appreciation, “ not bad miss D not bad at all, I am just going to leave you two to do you while I freshen up.

“ Be fast before I finish it for you", she called after her.

A few minutes later, she was downstairs with them having breakfast , they chatted about their lives and got to know Daniel better, Daisy then stood up.

“ I should go and shower as well", she said leaving the two of them alone, it went cold and awkward.

“ I ….I should go do something…I ..don't know", Aisha said tryna come up with an excuse to leave as she also tried to get up.

“ I get the feeling you don't like me much", Daniel said, halting her.

“ Well, it isn't that at all, I …I just don't know you well and it is more of a personal behaviour so I don't want you to feel that way", Aisha countered even though she wasn't sure if she was convincing him more or herself.

“ you don't need to be like that, I get it but the thing is, I like you which is why I want you to give me a chance", Daniel confessed suddenly.

Aisha was taken aback and stooped for a while.

“ You don't even know me", she finally said when she regained her composure.

“ Actually I do, I know you are beautiful and sweet and I really like you", he said more confidently.

“ Well I don't and I don't want all this creepiness around me okay", she said then walked away.

The rest of the weekend was slow and awkward, Daisy tried to lighten up the mood but she couldn't, the feeling was killing her and they had to cut off their trip and head home.

Once they got to Aisha's place, she quickly came down from the car and headed straight without so much as a good bye to her best friend. Daisy was hurt but didn't say much, she just went home.

It was Monday, Daisy and Aisha had not spoken to each other since the trip, Aisha had been avoiding her and Daniel.

Daisy tried speaking to her but to no avail, she then turned to Daniel.

“ Do you know what is wrong with her?"she asked as they settled down during lunchtime.

“ no why, she didn't mention anything to you", Daniel asked with a false concern.

“ We haven't, spoken to each other and I think she is avoiding me and the thing is she won't tell me what is wrong, something is fishy with all this and I want to know what it is", she expressed her disappointment further.

“ well, she will come around just give her time, besides I wanted to talk about us", he said, trying to push the topic of Aisha away.

“ What about us?"she asked.

“ I am in love with you and I want you to be mine", he said as plainly as possible.

Daisy couldn't wrap her head around it, she was surprised but happy.

“ yes yes yes", she yelled excitedly, attracting the other students to her direction.

She leaned in and kissed him passionately.

Daniel only grinned as he hugged her tightly after the kiss.

This became the talk of all the school, it finally got to Aisha, she was surprised but more confused, she didn't understand what Daniel was playing at, she wanted to confront him but didn't know how to.

The next day, Aisha heard her doorbell, she rushed to see who it was, lol and behold, Daisy and her new boyfriend were standing there.

“ Can we come in?", Daisy said.

“ Sure why not", she replied, giving way for them to enter.

“ Did I do something wrong?"Daisy asked immediately as she quickly hugged her tightly.

Aisha was trying to fight her off but couldn't, Daisy has been her best friend for ages and she didn't understand why she was letting a total stranger break that.

“ no you did not, I just needed to allow you two be", she lied not sure what to say.

“ are you sure cause it didn't feel like that", she pressed on

“ of course why wouldn't I be, I love you to the moon and back and I am happy for you two", she responded nodding towards Daniel's direction.

Daisy only blushed brightly.

“ I heard and I am happy for you darling", she reassured even though she wasn't.

Daniel could tell she was lying but he was willing to play the game that way.

They celebrated being together by cooking and watching their favorite movies until Daisy was asleep, Aisha felt this was the time to talk to Daniel alone, she signalled him to the kitchen as she got up to go there.

“ I know you ain't happy for us so why lie", he asked immediately with a smirk.

“ shhhhhs….", She shushed him up.

“ oh ..you don't want her to hear us, right", he stated.

“ What game are you playing and whole the hell are you what do you want from us", she said angrily.

“ game, hmm, well I just want you Aisha, I have dreamt of you, I long for you and I just want to be with you", he stated proudly.

“ stalker much, we only met about a few weeks ago and you have this obsession with me", she questioned.

“ no I didn't just meet you, you may not remember but we met during the summer, there I knew we would be together", he said.

“ God you must be delusional, we can't be together never, ever, this is against the law, stalking me and what dating my friend, why are you even dating my friend, what do you want from her".

“ you, I want to get to you and the only solid way to do that is with your friend, you see this friendship between you two, enjoy it while it lasts cause you won't need it again once we are together".

“ duuddee….get out of your head, nothing like we, I don't even like you at all, Jesus Christ, I can't believe this mess ".

He walked towards her slowly, Aisha was scared, moving back as well, she was panicking, her thoughts racing left right, she didn't want him close to her.

“ Stay away", she said with a shaky voice but he only tried to close the distance between them as he grabbed her waist, she let out a scream but he quickly shut her up.

His hand stroking her face and hair, as he tries to kiss her, she wanted to scream again when he held her chin up tightly,

“ Be quiet ", he said, his voice dangerously scaring her.

She felt like she was going to cry but she didn't want to show any weakness, she try to fight but he was more stronger than her, he pinned her to the kitchen wall as be tried to sexually harass her, soon he yelled out in pain, Aisha got more scared as she opened her eyes to see her friend Daisy awake holding up a pan, she had hit his head.

Daniel turned around, he was very angry holding his head, he pushed her away, Daisy hit the floor but was quick to get up again as she tried to run, he grabbed her by the arm as Aisha used the kitchen lamp to hit him again, he fell down unconscious.

“ What have we done?"Daisy said, shocked.

She quickly rushed to meet Aisha as she hugged her tightly, tears flowing from their eyes.

“ We didn't do anything", she said, unsure of herself.

“ Aisha, did we kill him, oh my God, we just killed a man", Daisy said, shaken.

“ No no, look at me, okay we didn't kill him, I am sure he is fine, we should call the police and the hospital okay", Aisha said trying to calm her down.

“ and say what to the police, they would think we killed him", she said more scared.

“ we would tell them it was self defense okay now stop crying and let's call the police, I'll go get my phone", Aisha said as she rushed to the living room to get it, she was dialling when she heard Daisy screamed again, she ran to meet her being held captive by Daniel.

“ Drop the phone now darling", Daniel ordered, he was in pain and bleeding but somehow seemed to have the strength to fight.

“ Please don't harm her, I'll drop it", Aisha said slowly, putting the phone down.

“ Now move to the back, move now", he shouted, “ go to the car", he instructed as he followed her closely behind, Aisha opened the car, then turned to face him.

“ what now",

“ Get in, NOW", he instructed, which she did hesitantly.

He then pushed Daisy forward, “take this and tie her”, he commanded checking if anyone was watching, once Daisy was through, he ordered her to go inside the house, once she was inside, he pulled out a gun and fired it, Daisy was shocked, she looked down to her belly, blood was gushing out, she fell to the wet grass, Daniel quickly ran inside the car and drove off, Aisha was stunt, she couldn't shout or cry, she kept looking at Daisy's body lying on the cold ground as tears trickled down her cheeks, the sound of the gun shot, woke the neighbors but Daniel just zoomed off.

They drove for a while to an isolated area, Aisha felt dizzy from all the crying and her eyes were blurry, she couldn't familiarize herself with the place as she didn't even know such an exist in her small town, she wriggled in pain.

Daniel carried her on his shoulder once there got to a wood cabinet, he took her in then lay her down on the bed, the place was cozy, had everything but what was more concerning was her pictures hanging around the whole place, pictures that date back to her summer holiday, she was shocked to see it all.

“ Welcome to your new home", Daniel said, bringing her thoughts to him.

“ you murderer, you beast …how could you, you killed my best friend I'll never forgive you", she yelled with so much pain.

“ ahhh shhh", he shushed as he tried to get close to her but she moved back abit, he forcefully pulled her towards him, “ I didn't kill her, it was just her time to go, I needed you to focus on just me not with her, she would be so happy in heaven", he said.

“ you are so demented, so …so twisted", she cussed, she couldnt believe her ears.

“ no baby don't say that, I did it for us, all this is for you, I want you to be comfortable and happy, look I planned our whole life here", he said in an eerie tone.

She got goosebumps all over, she spat in his face,

“ Happy, Jesus Christ, go to hell", she said, turning her face away.

“ never put your face away from me again", he ordered pulling her by the chin to face him, she screamed in pain then like a twisted psycho he said in a happy mood, “ this is our new home, just you and me, we don't need the world".
