Heather POV “Hey come on get up.” I felt someone shaking me. “It’s 6:00am. If we move quickly enough we can get the guys.” I sit up and rub my eyes and tried to focus on the person in front of me. It’s Megan. “Here, hurry, get dressed. April and I will explain on the way.” In less than ten minutes, we are all dressed, have hit the bathroom, brushed our teeth, brushed our hair and are heading down the stairs. April and Megan explain that the last time they were late for training after a girls’ night, Reed, Lucas, Quinn and Levi had attacked them with water guns while they were still sleeping. Their revenge plan is to make sure they follow us out of the covered breezeway in a certain direction where Megan will be waiting with the hose. April, Dawn and I are standing in the breezeway waiting for the guys to show up. “Shh I think I hear them,” April says. “I can’t believe they actually made out in time. Talk about having your morning fun ruined. It’s almost as bad as having a good wet
Heather POV We were working on our warm up stretches when I asked. “That wasn’t part of your plan, was it Megan?” “I thought there was a chance that they would simply take their shirts off. I just wasn’t prepared for Quinn to stand that close and look at me like that. His eyes changed. His wolf was right at the surface. Just like last night in his room.” “You mean Quinn has his wolf. How old is he?” asks Dawn “He’ll be eighteen in two weeks.” “Hey Megan, I haven’t seen him with anyone since you kissed him the night of his graduation back in June.” Says April, “Actually, come to think of it, it would be before then, it would be around the time that his wolf first showed up.” Just then, Levi came running up to us. “Ok, ladies, let’s get things going.” Megan looked at us all. “We need to finish this talk later. April link your Mom and see if she and Luna Mona are free after training. I’ll ask mine the same. I think we all have questions.” April steps up beside Levi and starts to
Discussion in the Office Luna Rene - “Ok. First off, Luna Rene, let me introduce to you our Beta female, Sage Shaw, also my sister-in-law, and April and Quinn’s Mother. Then this is our Gamma female, Kelly MacCrimmon, Megan and Levi’s Mother. As you know, I have no daughters but I’m almost certain that something my sons Reed and Lucas have done has triggered at least one if not more of the questions we are about to hear. If you ladies all agree, I think we can do away with titles and just go by first names. We are going to be discussing some intimate things.” All of us in the room in the room and Dawn’s mother on the computer shook our heads in agreement. Mona - “Alright then what are we starting with?” Megan sat forward, put her hands together and rested her forearms on her knees. “I am going to be acting kind of like our spokesperson, but anyone of us will jump in if I miss something.” She takes a deep breath exhales and starts. “First question is about eyes.” Now that statement
Heather POV What does she mean to keep them alive and save the bloodline? I could see the pain in her eyes and hear the desperation and fear in her voice. “OK, I’ll tell you, but can we do it in private? I would feel more comfortable with fewer people. Plus, I don’t know how much the boys would want me to say in front of a lot of people.” Mona looked at me with a huge smile of thanks on her face. “How about I get a hold of Lyla? I’ll ask her if you can spend another night here at the packhouse. Then after supper you and I will have some bonding time and will talk about what happened.” Mona picked up her phone and dialled Grandma. When she got off the phone she asked Meg if she would drive me out to Lyla’s house, my home now too, so that I could pick up stuff for the night. The four of us stand to leave Mona’s office, Dawn faces the computer screen. “Jacob just linked me. He and Zane are ready to go. He said that they wanted to be leaving in the next half an hour, so we'd be home b
Heather POV At that moment, Janice walks back in with four of the younger kitchen staff and a little girl who looks to be about eight to ten years old. If you have ever seen a picture of the child actress Shirley Temple, you would think you were looking at her twin. I’m not sure what colour hair Shirley Temple had but this one has dark mahogany colour with beautiful ringlets and light mossy green eyes. Her parents are going to have a hell of a time keeping the boys away from her as she gets older. “You were right,” Janice said as she walked up to Meg. “Your father took the clothes I had, he said they would take them since I was probably busy with food prep. Alpha Shane grabbed a plastic bag from the closet, they went outside and I watched as they put all the clothes in it. They then walked right over to the boys.” Janice turns and gestures for the little girl to come forward. “Molly dear, please tell Megan what you heard.” “Ok, Grandma.” All four of us crouch down so we are close
Levi POV Oh Goddess, what did I do? I didn’t know she was there with them. I know that if Reed had known she was here he wouldn’t have talked about punishments. The poor girl has had enough of that in her nine years of existence to last a lifetime. Jacob, Zane, Heather and Dawn may not know her story, but the rest of us do. I pulled her arms from around my waist, picked her up and carried her down to the table in the kitchen, asking everyone to follow. I pulled out a chair and set her down on it. I crouch down so I’m at eye level with her. “Molly, look at me.” She slowly raised her head until her eyes to meet mine. “What have I always told you?” “No one, not even the Alphas, will ever punish me the way I was punished before.” “That’s right, but you did dump ice-cold water on me, didn’t you?” “No, I did not, Levi. I dumped it on the new cuties.” She says as she points towards Jacob and Zane, who are standing by the sliding doors to the back yard with Dawn in front of them before wi
Heather POV We were out front saying good-bye to Dawn, Zane and Jacob, when Jacob grabbed my hand. “Can I talk to you over around the side of the building for a minute?” He linked me. I followed him around the corner. As soon as we are out of eyesight of the others, he wraps one arm around my waist, slides the fingers of his other hand through my hair and cups the back of my head. “Can I get one more kiss before I leave? I need something to hold me over for the next two weeks. Maybe we can get a little more alone time when we’re back for Quinn's party.” I reach my hands up to link them around Jacobs neck and stand on my tip toes. Damn, I hate being short. Jacob uses the arm he has around my waist to lift me the rest of the way to his lips. The kiss is soft, gentle, not heated like the first kiss against the tree. It seems even less heated than the one we shared when we first got the lake yesterday. Jacob is a good kisser. I think, not like I have a lot to compare it, but the passion
Reed POV I raised my hand to knock on the office door, but before I could, I heard Mom’s soft voice. “Come on in, boys.” Mom was seated on one end of the couch she had in the office curled up with a cup of tea in her hands. Dad was standing by the small bar behind the desk. “Before we get started boys, how strong of a drink am I going to need for this talk?” Lucas and I sit ourselves down in the two wingback chairs that sit across from the couch. I turned towards Dad to answer him. “Well, we haven’t done anything wrong, we just have some questions about a couple of things that have happened. So you choose.” Dad lets out a long sigh, grabs four glasses, a bottle of scotch and makes his way over to the couch beside Mom. He places the glasses down, pours roughly two shots into each glass, hands one to Mom as she sits forward and places her tea cup on the table. He passes one to each Lucas and I, saying as he does, “By the looks on your faces, you may need this too.” He then leans bac
