Do you think Quinn could be a problem or was his action towards Heather just a ill thought teenage move?
Quinn POV I had not planned on touching Heather that way. I was just going to help her up onto the step. I mean I just met her. Talk about coming off as a creep. Then I’m not even sure if it was Reed or Lucas that was freaking out on me more through the link. All I know is that they were both pissed. I was able to calm them down by telling them that my wolf had already given me shit for it. With my birthday only being a couple of weeks away, I had met my wolf about six months ago. It is nice to have six months before our first shift to get to know our wolves. It gives them time to help us prepare for our first shift. Unfortunately, it also plays havoc with your emotions and sends your already raging teenage hormones into a whirlwind. I had opened up the link to the twins when I stayed in the truck to talk to Heather. They weren’t so pissed at me now, and when I shook her hand, all I heard my wolf say was ‘Like sister.’ Heather POV I opened the door to see Jacob standing there waitin
Jacob POV Zane and I have been sitting talking with the twins and Quinn. We have been getting some interesting info from Quinn tonight. I know the stuff that we took in health class that I will admit I didn’t pay attention to, and if I asked my Dad he would tell me. It just seems to make more sense coming from someone close to your age and who is actually experiencing it right now, even when he rambles on a bit. “It’s like going through the early stages of puberty all over again, only it is the animalistic parts. Your emotions are all over the place. The need to protect goes into overdrive. I locked April in her room for a whole day while our parents were away because I was scared something was going to happen to her. Boy was she pissed. The worst is the sexual urges. I kid you not, what happened earlier with Heather when I helped her into the truck, is a good example. One minute I’m being nice, no other thoughts in my head just helping her, then I hear my wolf in the background goi
Heather POV Megan has gone to the other side of the fire pit and is now in a conversation with Quinn and Jacob. Levi has run off still trying to find someone to dance with him and April has gone to talk to a friend of hers. I’m just sitting there looking around trying to remember which names go with which faces when all of a sudden I’m surrounded by two large masses of muscle, Reed on the right, Lucas on the left. Reed leans in towards me and asks if I’m enjoying myself. He has leaned in close enough that his breath tickles my neck, causing me to shiver. That’s when Lucas leans in and asks if I’m cold, creating the same effect, making me shiver again. I don’t remember their voices sounding that deep and flirty earlier. I turned to each of them and answered whichever question they asked. Yes. No. That’s when I noticed that neither of them sat back up straight. They are both extremely close and our shoulders are touching. Lucas leans even closer if that’s possible. “Do you think we cou
Heather POV By the time we returned to the clearing at the beach, the fire had been put out, and the area had been cleaned up. The group is standing around the truck waiting for us. Quinn hollers at us to hurry up and get our asses in the truck. I walked up to the back of the truck and turned to Levi, who was standing at the rear of the truck, talking to Jacob and Zane, who were already in the back of the truck. “You can get in the front with Quinn, Reed, and Lucas. I’ll ride in the back.” All three guys look at me with looks of confusion and concern on their faces. I made my way to the tail gate of the truck, looked up, and asked Jacob and Zane to give me a hand getting in. They each grabbed my hand and lifted me up. I took a seat across from Dawn, not wanting to answer her questions that I could see that she had. Jacob sits down beside me. He puts his arm around my shoulder and pulls me in close. “Are you ok? You seem lost. Did the twins do something you didn’t like?” Oh, I liked
Quinn POV I parked the truck and started my walk back to the packhouse. This has been a fucked up day. Heather seems like a really nice person, but some weird shit has been happening since she got here and that was only looking at my phone to see that it’s now 1:00am, eight and a half hours ago. I walked through the back door and headed towards the stairs linking Levi. “Hey, where are you?” “Bottom of the stairs.” I rounded the corner to see Levi, Jacob and Zane standing at the bottom of the stairs. “Hey, did the girls get settled in?” Levi turns to me with a big ass smile across his face. “They are all in the Beta’s quarters. I was told that some serious girl talk needed to take place, so I had to back off and leave them alone. You have to put up with them all night.” I motioned for Jacob and Zane to follow us. I was just going to put them in one of the guest suits on the second floor of the residence building. As we were entering the covered breezeway that divides the residence b
Quinn POV I turned and headed to go up the next set of steps with Reed and Lucas behind. As I reach the top, I wave good night and head into the Beta’s quarters. As I passed April’s room, I could hear giggling. I looked at the time 1:30am. Operation Water Gun is definitely going to happen. As I raise my hand to knock on her door, it is all of a sudden thrown open, and Meg barrels out right into me. I grabbed her around the waist to stop both of us from ending up on the floor. She pushes me away and runs down the hall, and goes into my room. What the hell? I entered my room, closed the door, but I didn’t see Meg. That is when I hear a noise coming from my closet. Again, what the hell? Meg comes barrelling out of the closet with some articles of my clothing in her hand. As she reaches for the door handle, I grab her wrist, spin her around, and pin her to the door with my hands on either side of her head. I step in close, lean down, and whisper “What the hell are you doing?” She gives
Heather POV Dawn and I had thought that we were going to be given a room that we could share, but as we were walking into the packhouse, April had suggested that we all just head to her room and have a serious girl talk about tonight. Megan said that she was going to head to the Gamma quarters first and have a shower. The way this pack house was laid out was interesting. The main building had your normal stuff, kitchen, dining, entertainment, offices etc on the main floor. Then the next two floors had rooms for unmated wolves. There was a large covered breezeway that you could access from the main entrance hall and kitchen. On the other side of the breezeway there is another building that houses another kitchen, conference room/dining room, and another entertainment room on the first floor. The second floor had guest rooms for visiting Alphas and Betas. Then, starting on the third floor were the Alpha’s, Beta’s and Gamma’s quarters. One side was divided into two, two-story apartments
Heather POV “Hey come on get up.” I felt someone shaking me. “It’s 6:00am. If we move quickly enough we can get the guys.” I sit up and rub my eyes and tried to focus on the person in front of me. It’s Megan. “Here, hurry, get dressed. April and I will explain on the way.” In less than ten minutes, we are all dressed, have hit the bathroom, brushed our teeth, brushed our hair and are heading down the stairs. April and Megan explain that the last time they were late for training after a girls’ night, Reed, Lucas, Quinn and Levi had attacked them with water guns while they were still sleeping. Their revenge plan is to make sure they follow us out of the covered breezeway in a certain direction where Megan will be waiting with the hose. April, Dawn and I are standing in the breezeway waiting for the guys to show up. “Shh I think I hear them,” April says. “I can’t believe they actually made out in time. Talk about having your morning fun ruined. It’s almost as bad as having a good wet
