Chapter 141

Reed POV

I started to slowly wake up. I have the feeling that something isn’t right. I reach for Heather as my brain starts to clear from sleep.

Finding the spot beside me empty. I opened my eyes, only to be looking at the confused face of my twin. We both sat up looking around. I made a dash to the bathroom. “Not here.” I yelled at Lucas.

I turned to see Lucas pulling on a pair of sweatpants on his way to the door. In my haste to grab my pants from the floor beside the bed, I bumped the night stand, causing the top drawer to slide open slightly. As I reached to push it closed I caught a glimpse of the box inside. I can feel the color drain from my face as I pull the box out. I slid down the side of the bed to the floor. “FUCK!” I screamed as Lucas came back into the room.

Standing in front of me with a piece of paper in his hand, he whispers. “She left.” Lucas hands me the paper he has. I take it and open it without looking at him.
