Chapter 174

IZZY POV

With a groan I let go of Toby’s neck and painfully pushed him off from me. It took a couple of tries to push his dead weight completely off from my body. I finally freed myself and climbed to my knees, using the wall to pull myself up. Then I painfully walked over to the spear that Toby had lost.

I bent down and picked it up, hefting it in my hand, then I walked back to Toby’s body. I gripped the spear with both hands and raised it above my head. With as much strength as I could muster, I drove the spear down through his body, piercing his heart and driving the tip of the spear into the floor underneath him.

I dropped my hands to my side and staggered back, trying to catch my breath. I could see Griz’s body out of the corner of my eye and he was still in the same position he was when he had fallen over after stabbing Toby.

I began moving as fast as I could, beginning to panic sob. “Griz,” I gasped out.
