CADE’S POV

"Are you okay, Cade? Cade!" Emily's voice pierced through my thoughts, snapping me back to reality.

I blinked, my mind reeling as I struggled to process the revelation that had just hit me. "It can't be... it can't be," I muttered to myself, my voice barely audible.

I began to walk away, my feet moving on autopilot as my mind wrestled with the implications. Emily followed close behind, her voice laced with concern.

"Cade, hold on a sec!" she called out, her hand reaching out to grab my arm.

I shook her off, my emotions simmering just below the surface. "I-I need to be alone," I stammered, my voice cracking with tension.

Emily's eyes widened with worry as she reached out to me again. "But Cade, you aren't looking well. Let me—"

I spun around, my anger boiling over. "Just leave me alone!" I yelled, my voice echoing through the air.

Emily recoiled, startled by my outburst. She took a step back, her eyes filled with a mixture of concern and fear.

CADE’S POV I called out to the two maids, who had started to walk away. "Hold on!" I said, and they turned back to me, their faces curious."Tell me, what's the story behind this album?" I asked, curiosity getting the better of me. I held up the old photo album, its worn cover creaking as I opened it. The maids exchanged a knowing glance before one of them began to speak."Well, it's an old album of the resort chefs," she explained. "They were always a jovial bunch, and they loved taking pictures together. They'd often have barbecues and parties, and they'd always make sure to capture the memories." The maid smiled wistfully. "It's a pity they all had to split up when the resort closed down."The other maid nodded in agreement. "But it's great that the resort is open again," she said. "It would be wonderful if they could track down those old chefs and get them to come back. I'm sure they'd be thrilled to see the place restored to its former glory."I raised an eyebrow, intrigued.
