Cocktail Party

    An overbearing aura was felt by everyone as a tall, but young man strode in. His figure was straight and catchy, dressed in a high-end suit. The beauty he carried was irresistible, and the air around him was full of grace and nobleness. 

 He was exceptionally handsome as the most outstanding work of a unique sculptor. Every lineament of his face was like a masterwork, that was craved meticulously. 

The moment he was in, everyone turned their attention to him and silently admired him, but they couldn't say anything. His gaze was really cold, and his lips were pressed together. 

" Wow! Isn't that Mr. Brown?!"

" Yes! That's him. I can swear this is my first time seeing him, but oh my, he looks more handsome in reality!" 

" The camera did no justice to him at all. He is so hot!" 

" Too bad, I can't take a picture of him!" 

Murmurs and whispers were going around. It was obvious everyone was excited and startled to see the young man, but the man wasn't in the mood for all that. 

The young man was identified as Lorenzo Brown, who was one of the people dominating the country, and of course, he was the richest man in the country. He had power and authority, and even the government respected him. 

" Good evening Mr. Brown."

" Hello, Mr. Brown." 

Lorenzo didn't even bat an eye, and he gave a curt nod to people, who greeted him. He adjusted his suit and lifted his gaze. He glanced around the cocktail party, that was happening with an indifferent face. He wasn't the type to socialize, but his coming here had a reason. 

Instantly, a young waiter came to his side and inclined his head slightly downward, " Mr. Brown." 

Lorenzo took off his jacket and handed it over to the waiter. 

This was the custom of the cocktail party, so it was nothing.

 After that, he strolled to a particular corner around the party, and his men also followed suit. 

With every step Lorenzo took, his aura turned more imposing, which made the people beside him shudder, and instinctively, the murmurs going around died down. Every movement of his was refined and calm. He didn't say anything, but his temperament was enough for people to believe he had been in power for a long time.

On the other side of the cocktail party, was Ava. She was deeply pondering about something, and her back was facing the crowd, so she had no idea about what was happening at the party. 

Ava twirled the wine glass in her hand gently, and she sighed softly. Since the day she met Henry, who was the man who threatened her with her secret, the young lady hadn't been herself anymore. She was having sleepless nights and nightmares, which was distracting her so badly. 

Well, Ava had accepted the first option she was given by Henry. Though she didn't want to, she realized there was no choice for her. And she couldn't put her reputation, career, and life at risk.

The young lady was no saint, so it was better to be late than sorry. She had to protect herself at all costs, even if it meant she has to sacrifice her time! 

So, here she was now.

Ava got invited to this cocktail party by Henry, but she hasn't seen him since she arrived here. Now, she was thinking of what Henry was up to, but deep in her, she hoped for it to be something she could take. 

Ava sighed again and shook her head helplessly. Unknown to her, she had drunk more than two glasses of an intoxicating wine. 

Suddenly, her eyes turned weary, and she blinked them repeatedly. Looking beside her, she gasped and covered her mouth. 

" Did I drink all these?" Ava muttered to herself with doubt, and she squeezed her face immediately. 

Damn! She knew her alcohol tolerance was very low, but she still went ahead and drank this much. 

Swiftly, Ava stood up but realized her legs were wobbling. It was all due to the wine. 

She took a deep breath and tried to steady herself before she excused herself to the washroom.

At this moment, Lorenzo, who was silently watching the whole cocktail party, received a call. He glanced at the caller and stood up, picking up his phone. He went to another side to answer the call, since it was too noisy. 

Ava got to the washroom and immediately turned on the tap. She washed her face and rinsed her hands. After that, she turned off the tap but didn't leave the spot. Instead, she looked up at herself in the mirror, with an helpless look. 

Her face was stressed out, but it was still appearing attractive without even any makeover. 

Her heart ached, as she stared at herself, but this was her fate now. Her only hope was for this situation not to affect her as an upcoming actress...

Finally, Ava turned away and left the washroom, but when she got out, she was greeted with something unexpected. 

Two vicious-looking men were in front of her, and they appeared to be blocking her way. 

" Excuse me? Can you move aside?" Ava frowned but tried to be polite.

The men looked at each other and grinned sinisterly.

Ava saw this, and it instantly made her feel alarmed. She stepped back subtly, but the two men noticed her movements. 

Without saying anything, the two men grabbed Ava and pulled her towards them. 

" Hey! Let go of me!" Ava panicked and tried to struggle, but their grip was too strong. " I said let go of me!"

The men didn't answer her and just dragged her to the Lord knows where.....

Ava gritted her teeth and continued to shout, but no one came to her rescue. The young lady was frustrated and felt like crying, but that would be too humiliating for her. 

Seeing no one was going to help her, she decided to free herself from this man anyhow. 

The men didn't notice anything this time, and they continued to drag her harshly. 

Soon, they got to a very dark place and trapped Ava between them.....
