“What did he say to you?” Alessandro whispered the moment he grabbed my wrist.
I felt my whole body freeze with how dangerously low his voice sounded. But I wasn't going to show that to him. “Why do you care, hnm?” My eyes met his, my brows arching, a small sarcastic smile playing on my lips. “Not that I care,” he shrugged. “You're my wife now and you're obliged to tell me everything and I can be a bit curious sometimes. So tell me.” “I will never.” He paused, his eyes menacingly narrowed and I took a few steps backwards until my back hit the wall. If this was his attempt at intimidating me, then it wasn't working. It was almost laughable as he placed his hands on both sides of the wall, blocking every means I could escape. Now I knew that his Uncle, the Don, didn't have his best interest at heart. I was free to snap back at him because there was no way he could hurt. We were both trapped in an unwanted marriage and I wasn't going to be submissive because this wasn't what I wanted. I knew my father would want acts of submissal to enable him lay hands on the information he wanted through me. I wasn't going to do that. I would destroy their plans. They didn't care for me, neither would I care for them. We were all going to suffer together. I smirked. “What are you think you're doing?” I rolled my eyes. “Do you think this is going to magically make me spill what he told me? Try harder maybe.” He paused for a second, then he inhaled my scent for another second. Alessandro fixed his eyes on me, as though he had something to say to me but didn't know how. “You smell different.” He stated. “I clearly didn't have my bath when he was speaking to me so what are you on right now?” “That tone huh.” He shook his head and laughter manically. He definitely noticed the change in my tone, and I knew he would try to figure how it happened but damn even the FBI wouldn't be able to beat that information out of me. “I heard that laughter,” Beatrice emerged with a snort. “Why do you always laugh like that?” She walked towards us, her baggy jeans sweeping the floor. “And don't you think that isn't any of your business.” Lorenzo asked, waltzing into the sitting room. “Isn't it obvious that they're having a good time?” Beatrice's eyes widened, before she clapped her hands with a chuckle. “Since when did you become Alessandro's defendant? Funny things happen everyday.” Lorenzo simply scratched his hair and hissed. Before he fixed his gaze on us, the irritation on his face had disappeared. “Happy marriage life, brother.” Then he looked over to me. “I didn't get to formally introduce myself the other time, I'm sure you know me already but yeah, I'll say it again… I'm Lorenzo.” He stretched his hands. “Nice to meet you and ofcourse, happy marriage life.” “Aurora.” I managed a smile, cautious of his over friendliness. When I caught Alesandro's eyes from my peripheral vision, I shook Lorenzo's hands, fondling them as much as he fondled mine. “That's enough.” Alessandro's sharp voice caught him as he pulled over hands away with a tight lipped smile, the fakest one of them. “Relax brother.” Lorenzo chuckled. “Tell the Don we're on our way.” Without waiting for his response. Alessandro held my hands as we walked away. Once inside I was suprise that we were heading towards the front seat. Once he got, I opened the passenger's seat and entered inside. “What the hell are you doing?” He huffed. “Do I look like your driver, Aurora?” I shrugged, leaning into the leather comfortable. “Well clearly you're the driver here. Or am I missing something?” “What are you missing is your sense of reasoning, I must confess.” Alessandro's voice was sharp. “What you'll do now is to move your ass to the seat beside me.” “I will never.” I shook my head. Alessandro bit his lips, amused. “Do not push me.” “Just drive. You were going to drive anyways, whay makes it different?” I arched my brows at him. “The glass is clearly tinted, I bet anyone would know whether someone else is sitted at the back.” “I don't fucking care about anyone. I simply do not like this and I'm going to make sure I have it my way.” “Then try your hardest.” I dared him, taunting him with my firmness as I crossed my hands below my chest. In a swift motion, he flared up. Alessandro moved closer to me and grabbed me, pulling me foward in his hold. “You said to try my hardest right?” His voice was husky now, goosebumps sprouting all over ny skin. For a split second, I was frozen, his touch did that to me. “You can't talk now huh?” He taunted sarcastically, leaning closer to my ears, his breath fanning on my neck, his cologne asailling my nostrils. “Get away from me.” I managed to say, my voice coming out smaller, less firm than I intended. “Do you really mean that?” He enquired raising his brows at me. “You know I can feel that you want the opposite of what you say, wife.” As much as he was hella right, I couldn't let him have his way with me right now. I tried to push him way with the strength I had but he was as hard as a rock. “Go away, you freak!” He laughed against my hold. That stupid laughter. He was truly mentally unstable because why else would he hold me this tightly, laughing against my body? “Not without trying my hardest.” Alessandro whispered. In a swift motion, he carried me to sit next to him amidst how hard I tried to hit his chest and make him let go of me. I huffed when I was finally where he wanted me. “You see, I always get what I want.” He chuckled darkly and placed the key in the ignition as the engine revved, but not loud enough to drown the voice in my head. I had failed again by letting him win.~Aurora Rossi~"Miss Aurora." Maria's voice called out."Okay?" I rolled my eyes and held up my mascara near my eye region. "I already told you I wasn't eating." Alessandro De-luca When I saw Aurora and Santini Rossi walking towards the table hand linked with each other, I was reminded anew of my hatred for him. My blood began to boil with anger. He is a power hungry individual, pretending to be a good man in the eyes of the public with fake smiles. I knew his plan, he quickly agreed to give his daughter out in exchange for favours and alliance so he could possibly be the next consigliere from a caporegime. People like him didn't belong to the inner cacus. I observed how he tried to steal the Don's with eye service. Right from time, I knew there was something off about him. And I'm never wrong. When he had failed woefully, because by this time I was done executing my plan, there wouldn't any space for him. Turns out he's not only person with a plan. I loved the games unfolding in front of me. And the woman sitting beside me was oddly captivating, even though I tried to ignore her but her presence did something to me.
