Paige remained silent for a moment on the other end of the phone. "Caroline..."

A sinking feeling settled in Caroline's heart. She blinked back tears and urged, "Please continue."

"She had downloaded some kind of app on her phone that automatically deletes all calls and messages immediately after they are made or sent. There's nothing suspicious in her current bank transfer records. Nothing aligns with our suspicions. I suspect she didn't use her card for the transfer..."

Caroline initially registered Paige's words, but soon her comprehension faltered.

'How did it come to this... The evidence to expose Daniella is right in front of me, yet I didn't anticipate it would be futile. I've only managed to entangle myself in this mess.'

"Carol..." Paige's voice came through in a worried whisper.

With a determined effort, Caroline steadied her voice. "Thank you, Paige. I'll end the call now."

Paige sighed in response. "Alright, don't worry. I'll keep brainstorming ideas to help you."
