Alex was left speechless. He responded, "By the way, you've been looking into Caroline's background lately. Do you suspect that she was the one who saved you?"

"Mhmm." Evan was straightforward with Alex.

"I don't believe in so many coincidences. On the other hand, Daniella doesn't seem familiar to me."

"What did Caroline say?" Alex continued to inquire.

"She told me she doesn't remember what happened that year."

Alex fell into deep thought. "Could there have been some kind of accident in between?"

At the mention of that, Evan fell silent for a moment.

"Reuben discovered that Caroline was hospitalized for a period of time during her childhood."
