Looking at the screen, Neil sighed. 'When is Caroline going to stop resisting contacting me?'

At nine o'clock, Evan arrived home.

Lily approached him and took his coat, saying, "Sir, your father came today."

"What did they talk about?"

Caroline had just closed her laptop when she noticed him entering the room with a slightly gloomy expression. She glanced at him briefly before picking up her clothes and heading toward the bathroom.

"Caroline!" Evan called out with a somber voice.

Caroline stopped in her tracks, retrieving her hand. She slightly turned her body and asked, "What's the matter?"
