Amanda
Lena Dunham was taken to the hospital the same day my father was buried, because she had thrown a tantrum like a little child and had cried her eyes out that day, and finally fainted. I kept on going to the hospital every day to check up on her and take care of her. She was a very cute woman, and you could mistake her for a teenager, sometimes, but she was very well into her late twenties and was some years older than I. To me, she was one crazy woman, who tried to steal the spotlight and spew rubbish on the day my father was buried. My father had no other child or children. I was sure of it, or maybe I was really hoping against all odds that he didn't., and that I was right. Lena had been unconscious for thirty-two hours, and when she finally woke up, I was relieved. "How are you feeling?" I tried to touch her cheek, but she pushed my hand off violently. "Don't touch me, you vile woman!" She flung the ceramic cup which was on a desk close to her bed at me, but I dodged, barely sustaining a crash on my upper arm. This woman was indeed crazy! "Calm down!" I cajoled, even though I was a little scared. I stood up and took the chair some meters away from her bed. "Since you've woken up, we need to talk..." "I have nothing to say to you!" She said blatantly and looked away from me. I couldn't read her expression. Her eyes were beginning to water again, and she had three marks across her cheeks, which one could easily mistake as tribal marks, which she kept on touching. "What happened to you there?" I asked, trying to change the topic to get her to be comfortable with me first. That way, she might open up and tell me everything. "Nothing that concerns you..." Her voice was flat and it was clear that she didn't want to talk to me. "See, Lena, I just want to get to the root of this. You claimed to be my father's daughter, that invariably makes you my sister..." "I am not your father's daughter and you aren't my Sister, Amanda!" She screamed at the top of her voice. "I am Dean Geoffrey's daughter. I don't know who you are or how you got entangled with my father. However, I know a couple of things about you... You had better watch your back, because it wouldn't be easy for you." "What do you mean?" My stomach sank and my heart began to beat very fast. My father didn't have any other children besides me... He didn't! He can't! "Get out of my room!" She screamed, interrupting my bizarre thoughts. "Get out! Leave!" She stood up and hit me with another ceramic cup again, but the doctor walked in and stopped her. There was another man with the Doctor... A man who looked very much like my husband, Jason Grey! I didn't pay much attention to the second man. I was too distracted to think straight. "You may have to leave, now, Amanda!" The Doctor held me by my hand and gestured toward the door, "Lena needs to rest and she's getting hysterical. You may come back tomorrow." I left the hospital premises, determined to get to the root of everything, but I had an accident while going back home, and lost most of my past memories... especially the ones that had Lena Dunham in them. ******** "I made breakfast for you," I approached Jason, who was already dressed for work and ready to go out. He had on the suit I got him for his birthday last year, and he looked as handsome as ever. I didn't know how I fell in love with Jason, or how it happened; but, with every day that passed, my heart fluttered whenever I saw him. He moved over to the dining table and settled into the seat. He undid his tie, and loosened his belt a little, then began eating. I stood and watched him as he ate, wondering why he was at the same hospital as Lena years ago, and if he was having an affair with her. I had so many questions, but I didn't know how to ask him. "Aren't you going to eat? Why are you still standing?" He dropped his fork, stood up, and held my waist from behind. I flinched under his touch, wondering why he was suddenly being romantic. Something was up. Jason Grey hadn't touched me ever since our wedding night. "I... I was just..." He cupped my face fiercely, his fingers scratching my skin as he did so, and kissed me long and hard, as though he had been starving for some time now. I melted under his touch, and I had a burning desire to make love to him. He trailed kisses down my neck, and undid my dress, cupping my breast with one hand, and playing with my belly button, with the other hand. My knees buckled and I lost all reasoning and kissed him fiercely right back. "Jason, I love you," I blurted shamelessly, amidst hot kisses from him, but he stopped abruptly, and looked at me squarely. "You love me?" He scoffed, "You just had to spoil this beautiful moment, didn't you?" "No, I didn't mean to..." He put his index finger against my lips and proceeded to slide it right inside my mouth. I closed my eyes and sucked at it like a hungry little child, who had been deprived of his favorite candy. I could hear him laugh hysterically, as though he was enjoying the whole process. I opened my eyes and noticed him staring at me with utmost disgust. I stopped and stepped away from him, scared that I had done something wrong again. But he approached me intently. He tore my dress open, ruining my beautiful floral dress, and continued where he had stopped. I wanted to push him away. I wanted to bite him hard and tell him to leave me alone, but, instead, I found myself kissing him deeply and making love to him, right there in the dining room. After we were done, there was an awkward silence in the room. He wore his jacket silently, and just as I was helping him to fasten his wrist button, something shocking caught my eye... The same tattoo! It was the same as Lena's. The same exact tattoo on the same spot above his wrist. My hands froze as I looked steadily at the tattoo. How was this even possible?Amanda We drove to the company in silence. Jason had an important meeting to attend. The driver was going to drop him off, then take me to my grandparents. I wanted to see them as soon as possible, else, I would go crazy with thinking and worrying."What's on your mind?" Jason looked up from his phone and stared at me emotionlessly. I had not yet recovered from the shock of his sudden desire to make reckless love to me a few hours ago, but the thoughts of Lena occupied my mind and kept me from dwelling on it."Nothing," I smiled wryly, hoping he'd let the conversation die, because I was in no mood for a chit-chat, especially not with him."You've met Lena, haven't you? Why aren't you asking me anything?"I wondered why he was bringing Lena up. I had clearly avoided having any conversation concerning her with him."I have nothing to ask," I said briefly, not bothering to look at him."You're learning to mind your business," he laughed, throwing his hand with abandon, then, he took my
Amanda "Drive to the house first. I want to redo my makeup before heading to my grandparents' place, " I settled into the back seat. I clutched my stomach tenderly, now aware that I had a new life growing inside my womb."Yes, ma'am," Anderson studied me from the mirror for some time, then added, "Will you tell Jason?""Tell him what?" I asked absentmindedly, my hands still clutching my abdomen.Anderson looked at my hands against my abdomen and smiled sadly, "That... The baby...""Oh!" My lips opened but no words came out. I gave out a weak grunt and smiled almost immediately. Leaning a little bit forward, I said, "I wouldn't. I have no intention of telling him. He'd never know, if not he might hurt my unborn child."Anderson stopped the car abruptly."Why don't you leave?" He held the steering fiercely and shut his eyes, as though he were trying to remember something. Leave! I'll help you."I wondered why his voice seemed a little bit raised. Ignoring it, I said, "I can't. It's not
Amanda, "They're still alive," The Doctor reported to us after hours spent in emergency surgery on both of them. "Thankfully, the knife didn't pierce any delicate organ. They're in a coma, as they have severe brain injury, alongside the multiple stabbing wounds found on their bodies.""When will they wake up?" That was the first word I managed to say ever since I had entered and found their almost lifeless bodies back in their house."I can't say, but there's hope. It'll take a while, but they might be able to survive this. We'd keep a close eye on them, rest assured."We thanked the doctor, stood up, and headed to the room that held the grandparents. They were oblivious to their surroundings and were very much unconscious, but it appeared they were sleeping peacefully.I felt a hand on my shoulder from behind and looked up to see who it was, "Anderson," I sighed in relief. Thank you. You've been of great help to me," I went in for another hug and cried heavily."How did this happen
Amanda Would you believe that Amanda told the Police that she thinks I'm the one that harmed her grandparents?" Lena adjusted in her seat, crossing one leg against the other, and leaning towards Jason."What?" Jason feigned surprise, "I don't understand. Why'd she do that?" "Apparently, she saw me driving out of her grandparents' compound on the day of the accident." Lena sipped on the drink that Jason had offered her, then sighed deeply."What were you doing there, though?""I actually did pay them a visit, but I walked in and found them like that, unconscious and almost dead," she said sulkily, "so I left."Why didn't you take them to the hospital? Why didn't you call the police?""If I had done that, wouldn't that have implicated me?"Jason stared at Lena, trying to read her expression, but she remained expressionless."You really didn't do it, right? As much as I despise Amanda, I don't want you harming her grandparents. That's my concern, not yours.""You're forgetting that the
Amanda Before I made up my mind to come out of my hiding place and confront my husband and his mistress, I called Anderson and told him to come over to my house in the next twenty minutes.I knew it wouldn't go well, and that Jason and Lena would end up doing something funny, if not harming me. "What's really going on, Amanda, are you in trouble?" Anderson's worried voice thundered against the phone speaker."Not yet," I replied, swallowing hard. " But, maybe, soon.""Don't do it," Anderson warned, "whatever it is you plan on doing, don't do it!""I have to, Anderson. I've been a coward for a long time. Jason doesn't respect me at all. Guess what? Lena's here.""What? Who's Lena?""The lady we saw driving out of my grandparents' place.""What's she doing there?""It's a long story. I'll fill you in later. I have to go, now.""So, you want to confront them? Aren't you scared?""I am, and that's why I called you."*. *. *. *. *Anderson had arrived at Jason's house and found my body
Jason“Yes, Anderson… You've been away from work for a couple of days without any prior notification and reason,” My voice was a little too loud over the phone as I paced to and fro in my office.“I'm sorry, sir. I had an emergency to take care of. I have been trying to reach you via calls but to no avail…”“Don't feed me such bullshit!” I hit my hand on the table as my brows knitted slightly. “There's no excuse whatsoever that can attest to your shortcomings! I'm beginning to get fed up by your inconsistencies…”“I'm very sorry, sir. It won't happen again.”I calmed down a little bit. At least he still knows who the boss is.“Come to the hospital right now!”“But sir…”“No more excuses, unless you are willing to lose your job. It seems you don't need it anymore.” There was a pause for a moment, and I could hear his ragged breathing against the speaker. I couldn't tell what was happening and what he needed to take care of urgently that had him absent for almost four days, but I would
Jason It was three days now and I had not yet seen Amanda. Not that I cared, but I hadn't eaten any proper homemade meals in days. Lena wasn't good with culinary skills, and I never really got to taste a meal she made, not that she could cook, though. But, even if I invited her over now, she wouldn't agree to see me. She hasn't even been picking up my calls, anyway. I couldn't understand where her grievances stemmed from, because I was aware that she also indulged in minor sexual affairs aside from our relationship… or so. I wasn't sure, and I had never caught her cheating on me, but anyway. I walk to the window in the sitting room. Down the road, a couple were hugging passionately, as though they hadn't seen each other in a while and just got back together. It made me remember those days when my love with Lena was still young and fresh. I feel a vibration in my pocket and bring out my phone. The name “little sis,” was boldly written on the screen. Letting out a deep sigh, I swi
Jason I came to work earlier today. I sent Lena a message, telling her that I wanted her to be my Personal Assistant. In reality, I was looking for ways to mend our relationship and keep us nearby. My phone buzzed, and I stared at the phone for the umpteenth time, hoping I would get a reply from her.It wasn't her though. Instead, my eyes caught the news headlines peeping out of my phone… “Billionaire idol beats up a poor man for touching his mistress,” I cringed at the title. These journalists would do anything to make extra cash. The headline wasn't exactly false, but how did these people know that he's been having an affair with Lena Dunham? My mouth dropped wide open, and I zoomed in to confirm and it was just as I thought. I brought out another phone from my breast pocket immediately and put a call across. I was panting quite loudly and I found it quite difficult to stabilize my breathing.“There's false news circulating on the internet. Please, bring it down this instant and st
