CHAPTER 59

          “Get away from my father,” said Maleficent. Her words were calm and her face was smiling. Her almond-shaped eyes slanted into a crescent shape, hiding her glowing green eyes. But her fingers did not leave the woman’s shoulder blade; instead, they dug deep into her flesh as if Maleficent would tear her body down any moment now. The woman’s gaze remained transfixed on the beast behind Maleficent as she bit her lower lip – not because of fear but deep-rooted anger for not learning about the existence of the dragon.

But the woman who claimed to be Aurora, Maleficent’s mother, slapped her right hand away as she created a distance by using her angel wings. “If you can then come and get him,” said Aurora, “By the way, that beasty looks cute.”
