CHAPTER 65

HEADMASTER KIRK was now in his office after his trip to the prison. His shoulders were sagged and his head was bent down as his gaze was cast down as well. For someone who had lived centuries, no, millennia already, the scene when he left the dungeon intended for Maleficent left a lingering sense of desperation for him.

Contrary to what Maleficent knew, Headmaster Kirk did not leave the premise of the dungeon even when his good old friend, Zel, arrived.

Sighing for the nth time ever since he plopped his butts on the plush couch of his office, he leaned his head onto the back of the couch as he closed his eyes tightly. His right hand made its way to his temples to massage his head, hoping for his headache to go away only to realize that what he was wishing for was futile.

“I wonder when Zel would be coming back,” said Headmaster Kirk. His eyes were now open as he stared at the cream-colored ceiling.
