CHAPTER 63

A warm hand touched her right shoulder. Upon the contact, Maleficent did not mean to flinch and recoiled back – she was afraid that she would weep and it would worry him more. But like what she thought, her father took it the other way. He slowly withdrew his hand as he cleared his throat. “Let that be my problem. I am her husband and you are my daughter. I will solve this.”

Shaking her head, she smiled bitterly. “You are indeed my father. We think alike, after all. But I am afraid I can’t honor your wish.”

Upon her refusal, her father’s head which was cast down whipped back to her after a fraction of a second. His glowing emerald eyes shone brighter, sharper, as his face was overshadowed by an ominous shade of frown.

“What now? Enough of this nonsense, Maleficent.” His voice was low as he stared down at her, asking in silence if she dared challenge him.

I can't cry because I'm infront of my family, they will think I'm crazy if I do. But seeing Maleficent break down is something I can't take
