“Please, Miss  Maleficent,” said Headmaster Kirk. He was groveling in front of Maleficent. The only thing separating them was the wall made of dozens of iron bars. Litters of sweat-soaked the cravat of the man who looked not older than thirty years old. His hands gripped the iron bars as he nudged his face against them, not minding the pricks of electricity wracking his body. Lost in his misery, he stopped minding the spell attached to the iron bars or the wielded connection for some iron bars. His tear-stricken eyes were only pinned to the person before him – the only salvation of his misery.

In front of him, standing on the other side of the room, was a straight-faced Halfling.

“Headmaster Kirk, you know very well I can’t do that.” Cent turned around. She plopped her body to the small bed, sitting at the edge of her bed while crossing her pajama-covered legs. Opening her arms, Cent grinned at the kneeling

“What are you doing?” A voice which Cent did not hear for a couple of days already popped up and the source of it was standing between her and Apollo Sky, who was equally startled as her.“Damon,” said Maleficent. With her crossed arms before her, a brow rose on instinct. For the nth time, her interrogation with Apollo Sky the Loyal was interrupted again. Standing between her and Apollo Sky was Damon the Prideful. She continued, “You are utterly late. It took you what, a couple of days? Is that really how incompetent you are, son of Lucifer?”“So, you are the employer he was talking about.” Apollo Sky pointed at her to which Cent replied with a shrug.Damon turned in Cent’s direction and the next thing they knew, a loud thud echoed inside the stale and darkened dungeon.“Fuck! What is wrong with you? I just got it back together!” Maleficent covered herself with her wings as she took a leap

“Your Grace, please reconsider!” Gukasho sweat and tears had already mixed up. The mixture of translucent liquid fell onto the carpeted floor like raindrops, leaving a definite trail for Frankenstein to clean. The manor’s cleanliness was the least of his concern when he was racing against the lengthy strides of his master who decided to be on a suicidal mission – by declaring a trial by combat with his life and title at stake. His master, Grand Duke Beelzebub the Glutton, was clad in his combat uniform made of the purest mineral from the deepest mountains in the Nether World. The clashing of the iron ore and the mithril created a sound that Gukasho thought he would never hear at least for another millennium or so. But now, he was chasing his master who was so determined to toss his glory because he could not help but worry about his kid.Though Gukasho understood his master’s worries especially that the late duchess left him with nothing b

“I SAW IT myself four days ago. The heavenly doors opened and the ambiance in the Heavenly World at that time was joyous,” said Merlin. Maleficent tasked him to follow Gabriel back into the latter’s world. The moment when Gabriel walked towards Maleficent at the arena, it was also the moment that a butterfly from her shadow slipped into Gabriel’s shadow. Through the single butterfly that she planted, a hole would be available for her to create portals and send her butterflies when needed be.Levi touched his chin as if he was contemplating things that Merlin had said. Nodding his head, he spoke. “I have read scriptures from the Count’s study. The opening of heaven’s doors meant only one thing; a new angel has joined the ranks of the guardian angels.”“That new angel might be the instigator of this entire ruckus.” M

“Maleficent! Maleficent!” The scratchy voice of the horned being, Levi, chasing at the flying Maleficent resonated inside the portal. Since he was inside the domain of another Halfling, Levi could not conjure Basilisk to make the latter his transport since he did not get any wings. “What an idiot,” said Merlin. He dashed past Levi with a smug expression as he rode a pentagram that was emitting a bright purple aura. Merlin was stepping on it as it took him closer to Maleficent. “Dude! Hey, wait! Damn it!” Though his vitality could keep up with him for running all day long inside the portal, he could not possibly miss the opportunity to see a live-action scene. After hearing a stranger’s voice behind the cluster of mist, Maleficent raced towards the still opened gates of her shadow portal. Maleficent who was running a couple of seconds ago went to flying, leaving him and Merlin in a state of daze. Though he did not clearly hear what Maleficent he

FLASHBACK “Gukasho, uhm, can I ask my father about my m-mother?” Maleficent, who was walking in the corridors with Gukasho, asked out of the blue. Though her face was facing forward, she was observing Gukasho through her peripheral vision. It was her second day away from Transylvania Academy. Ever since she killed Angelo the Faithful ‘accidentally’ that night, her father took her from the academy to let things settle through time. According to her ever-competent father, things would be alright. Of course, she did not believe it. Killing an angel, an offspring of a guardian angel which was equivalent to a demon lord ranking, was not an easy matter. Maleficent bit her tongue to stop herself from cursing her dumb self at that time. She was sleepy and out of her wit's end when the first thing she saw was her balcony destroyed for some petty grievances between the Halflings and an angel, shit just went real. And now she was here, to the ho

A soft gasp elicited from the woman’s pillowy lips, drawing Merlin and Levi’s attention to the situation at hand. Putting the pieces of the puzzle together after seeing the unconscious and the kneeling grand duke of the Nether World who was also chained and gagged by a woman, Levi met a familiar pair of eyes among the guardian angels surrounding the defeated demon lord. On instinct, Levi, who knew how protective Maleficent was to her father, looked at the horned and winged Halfling standing before him and Merlin. Her back was straightened while her shoulders were squared. Levi could not see a single tremble from her but the shadows gathering behind her, overshadowing his shadow, and Merlin’s were trembling and hissing. She was indeed a wielder of darkness. “How did those horrendous sisters raise you? To call your mother a bitch… I guess you are indeed a devil’s spawn.” ‘Mother?’ Both Levi and Merlin snapped their attention to the smiling woman who co

The tranquility offered by the Heavenly World was long gone, tarnished by the depravity brought by the Basilisk and the army of the undead. The atmosphere around the field was flipped into one hundred eighty degrees the moment Maleficent lost all her reservations. With her father chained and gagged in front of her, she knew that there would be no way that she would put up with that – even with the cost of her life. By drawing Merlin’s necromancy and Levi’s Basilisk, she knew that she had lost her trump cards against Damon. But screw it all, she could devise another plan for the battle that was yet to come. The Basilisk was a deadly beast sealed in the pits of the Nether World. According to the archaic history of the Ambivalent World, the council of the first Trilateral Court used their lives to seal the Basilisk. But Levi was the only Halfling who was able to summon the Basilisk as a familiar. Because of this, the Trilateral Court had a hard time bringing down the no

“Get away from my father,” said Maleficent. Her words were calm and her face was smiling. Her almond-shaped eyes slanted into a crescent shape, hiding her glowing green eyes. But her fingers did not leave the woman’s shoulder blade; instead, they dug deep into her flesh as if Maleficent would tear her body down any moment now. The woman’s gaze remained transfixed on the beast behind Maleficent as she bit her lower lip – not because of fear but deep-rooted anger for not learning about the existence of the dragon. But the woman who claimed to be Aurora, Maleficent’s mother, slapped her right hand away as she created a distance by using her angel wings. “If you can then come and get him,” said Aurora, “By the way, that beasty looks cute.”The rattling of the chains rung like a snake’s slithering movement, catching Maleficent’s reaction right away, and the next

Maleficent stared at the gates of the Transylvania Academy. A pair of black dragon-like wings folded behind her as she landed a few meters before her alma mater. The shackles of the past? She was already free from it. All thanks to those who trusted her, cared for her, and loved her despite the horns and gigantic wings. For those who trusted Maleficent despite

Before Maleficent 's mind shatter to the endless stream of torment, a warm aura enveloped her curling and shaking body. Like a cocoon of protection, it soothed her mind, body, and soul.Though ethereal, Maleficent was familiar with the warmth being emitted from the crimson-colored aura around her. With teary eyes, Maleficent stopped shaking and screaming words of helplessness and profanities."Sshh.. Stop crying, little Halfling." A deep and warm voice vibrated within her, muting the wicked one. The voice continued, "Remember, amidst the painful memories you have, you have bright ones as well. For every step you take back you forward thrice the distance from the past. Why? Because you have us and we have you. You are not alone anymore.""I.. I am not alone anymore?" "Remember... Where you surrender yourself to this prince. Like I said, there will be no going back. So please, throw away all the guilt that you have in your heart and know that for a short period of time, you made me feel the emotions I thought I would die without.” The Halfling cleared her throat as if a lump was lodged in it before she continued. “Please respect my decision.” On cue, the torches that littered the prison cell were engulfed by a cluster of shadow for a fraction of a minute, deeming the entire prison cell for a small period of time that it was almost unnoticeable.
