April's POV

I watched Emma and Gabe dance, their love radiating like a warm glow. The party was in full swing, and everyone was having a blast.

As I sipped my drink, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this pack. They'd become my family, accepting me for who I was.

Carly caught my eye, smiling from across the room. We shared a moment of understanding.

I made my way through the crowd, exchanging laughter and stories with the others.

"April, dance with me!" Augustine called out, spinning me onto the dance floor.

I laughed, feeling carefree.

As the music changed, I spotted Emma's children – Camilla, Rosaline, and Lucien – sneaking off to their room.

"Augustine, I think Emma's kids are up to something," I whispered.

Augustine's eyes sparkled. "Let's go investigate."

We snuck out of the party, following Camilla, Rosaline, and Lucien to their room.

As we approached, we heard giggles and whispers.

"What are they planning?" Augustine whispered.

I grinned. "Let's find out."

I walked into the
