CHAPTER 32

Gabe's POV

I took a deep breath, thinking about my next move. I needed to talk to Emma, to tell her that I wanted to be a part of the kids' lives. And I needed to talk to the kids themselves, to tell them the truth about who I was.

I stood up, feeling a sense of determination. I was going to do this, no matter how scary it was.

"Thanks, April," I said, smiling at her. "I'll go talk to Emma now."

April nodded, her eyes shining with encouragement. "Good luck, Gabe. You got this."

I walked out of the room, feeling a sense of purpose. I was going to be a dad, and I was going to be a good one.

I arrived at Emma's room, my heart racing with anticipation. I knocked softly on the door, and when she didn't answer, I let myself in.

The room was quiet, the only sound the soft breathing of the kids asleep on the bed. Emma was sitting in a chair beside them, her eyes closed, a gentle smile on her face.
