CHAPTER 13

Emma's POV

I sat in the parlor with Gabe, my mind racing with thoughts of my missing children. Angelo's promise to help me find them had given me a glimmer of hope, but I knew we had to act fast with or without his help.

"We need to come up with a plan," I said to Gabe, my voice firm with determination. "We can't just sit around and wait for something to happen." I said not wanting to depend too much on other people's help.

Gabe nodded in agreement, his eyes scanning the room as if searching for inspiration. "We've already alerted the pack," he said. "But we need to think outside the box. Whoever took the kids is likely to be hiding them somewhere we wouldn't think to look." Gabe said.

I nodded, my mind racing with possibilities. "We need to think like they do," I said. "What would we do if we were hiding children?" I asked.

Gabe's eyes locked onto mine, a spark of understanding between us. "We'd want to keep them close, but hidden," he said. "Somewhere we could easily access them
