The air hung heavy with the scent of spilled liquor, as I drowned my sorrows in the bitter embrace of alcohol. I held a bottle of whiskey, I had managed to like, after throwing a couple of other bottles against the wall for not meeting my expectations.

Damn it! I have worked so hard over the years, I should have enough money to get good whiskey, why do you keep bringing these subpar ones to me?” I yelled to no one in particular.
