Chapter 21 Squabble

Xander's POV

I looked at Selena's sweet face indifferently, the anger inside me gradually on the verge of consuming my sanity.

"You didn't say anything to Claire that you shouldn't have, did you?"

I let go of my grip on Selena's hand. Seeing the red mark on her white wrist made my heart feel heavy for some reason, so I twisted my face aside to look out the window.

"Tattletale? That's not my style," Selena responded, wincing as she moved her wrist.

I could hear the resentment in her words, but at the moment, I felt more thankful.

From the moment I started investigating Selena's involvement in my parents' death, I had consciously begun to cold shoulder her. No one else knew about it. To outsiders, Selena was still the glamorous Luna, but around me, she had become a tail-wagging dog.
