CHAPTER 2

(Kenzo's POV)

[First Day]

It's so early. I jump out of bed and prepare my breakfast. I feel a little bit nervous and excited at the same time. I hope I'll see her again. 

After eating my breakfast, I grabbed my things ang run next to the train station. I look everywhere to find her but she's not even here. "Guess Riley's right about it". I lose hope already and thinking I might not see her again. 

At school , Riley asks me about her. "I didn't saw her this morning." 

"I told you , but don't worry dude , if she was meant for you, you will definitely meet her again." He said.

"I'm not so sure about that." I replied. Then we continue what we are doing. But what if Riley's right?

Later in the afternoon I went to the zoo to draw one of the animals. I sit down next to the giraffe and start drawing.

I got a nice spot right here where I can fully see its whole body. I'm about to finish my artwork when suddenly someone's behind my back said, "That art will be hang in your school's bulletin board."

I startled then look who is it. It was her, the girl that I met in the train station yesterday. I can't help myself but to smile happily. "I never thought I would see you here." 

"This is one of my favorite place though!" She respond. 

" I gotta finish this one first ,a- are you free today? I mean ca -can we hangout after this?" I ask nervously.

"Why not? I'll wait till you finish then." She smiled at me.

I feel butterflies in my stomach, she is watching me draw from behind. Finally it is done. I close my sketchpad and put it inside my bag. 

"I'm done, let's go?"

"Great ! Then where shall we go?" She asked.

"Why not lets walk around here." I replied.

We start talking with each other. It's my first time seeing her laugh but I still feel like I know her. We walk through the road until we reach the lake. 

She stand at the edge of the bridge. "This place is so calm and beautiful." She said . 

"This is the place were I am almost get drowned when I was 5 years old, luckily a woman saved me." I shared to her. 

She then say, "I'm on the same situation as you when I was 5 years old too. Guess it's a coincidence." 

Then I replied. "Probably." 

We've been talking for a while now but I still haven't got her name, maybe it's time to ask her. 

"May I know your name please? I just realize we have been hanging out for a while now but I still don't know your name." 

She answered, "It's Elizabeth, Elizabeth Gardner. But please call me Eliza."

"I'm Kenzo, Kenzo Nakahara, you can call me whatever you want." I replied.

"Oh really ? Kenken?" As she teased me. We're both laughing . 

The sun is going down now. I decided to walk her through the train station so she could go home early. 

"I never knew you have a curfew." 

"I know right?, I'm just like Cinderella, I can't stay late at night." 

While we are waiting for the next train , she get a piece of paper and wrote down something. I didn't bother to ask what it is, when suddenly she give it to me. I look at it and it is showing her phone number. "Tha- Thank you !"

"Here you can call me anytime."She said.

"The train is here, see you tomorrow then." 

"See you tomorrow." I just watch her get in to the train. Then I head back home.

That night I went to Riley's apartment to tell him what had happened today.

"Here's her phone number. What should I do?" 

He quickly get his cellphone, grab the paper then type in her number. 

"Here call her!  Call her! Fast!" Then he handles me his phone.

My hands are shaking while grabbing his phone.

 "It - it was ringing! What should I do?" 

I got so nervous that when she answers the phone , my body is freezing and I couldn't even open my mouth to speak, but then-

 "Hello!" 

Finally I hear her voice again. I was shaking and couldn't seem to speak properly.

"He- Hello! It's me Ke-Kenzo." 

I really have no idea what to talk about so, Riley get a pen and paper and start writing .

"Kenzo? hey! what's up?!" I didn't know how to answer her.

Riley showed me the paper . "Say it !" He whispered aggressively.

Then I read what's written on the paper. " Auh ! I'm good , I - I just wanted to ask."

"Go on."  She said.

I read the next line. "Will you be available tomorrow? " 

She replied, "Yes sure."

Then Riley starts to write again.

"Let's meet at the theme park."

I look at Riley because I don't know where to bring her.

"Don't worry just tell her the time!" He said.

"Tomorrow at 1pm?"

"Sure ! See you tomorrow then!" She replied. 

I never been so happy in my life. "I got you dude!" Said Riley. Then we both laughing.

(Tomorrow afternoon)

I go to the park earlier than the said time. 

"When you reach the park, just roam around first, go to some area where you wish to bring her. Of course, you want to make sure you know the place or you'll end up lose your way. 

We need to avoid that. Next go to the place where you think is so romantic, it depends on you. So when she comes you know where to bring her right away." Said Riley.

I follow his instructions and familiarize some places near the park I saw a carnival right next to it. But I don't know if she will like it or not. 

Then along the way I see a flower stand. I'm gonna being her here, I hope she likes flowers.

After a few minutes I see her walking down the street. She is wearing a dress, she really looks so good at anything she wears.

I feel like freezing again when she comes nearly towards me.

"Hello, shall we?" She said.

"uhm!" Then we start walking through the area. I bring her first to the flower stand. 

"Wow! They are so beautiful." She said.

She likes it. "Do you want one, I'll buy it for you." 

She smiled at me again, I guess I need to buy her one. So made her decide which one she likes then I pay for it.

After that we continue to walk and I explain to her what to see in the area near the theme park. 

"Eliza, do you know there is a carnival near in this place?" I ask.

"No." She answered.

"Why not we explore the whole area. But first we need to eat."

She nod her head and we go to the nearest food stall, and order something to eat. She got a smile on her face like it's the first time she eats the burger.
