Chapter Twenty Seven

She asked her and Gabriella raised her eyebrow,

‘I thought he was just being friendly, he did say everyone was going?’

She looked puzzled and Anne knew she did not understand the way the kids in American classes worked,

‘He’s a jock, you know, a football player, Captain of the Team,’

Gabriella had no idea what she was implying and held her hands up and Anna knew she had to spell it out more clearly,

‘Okay, look it's like this, you are either a Jock, a Geek, or you are one of us.’

She looked at the English girl and Antonio jumped in,

‘Honey what she’s trying to tell you, is the cheerleaders date the jocks, the brainy girls date the geeks and the rest of us just muddle through.’

‘You’ve not been invited have you?’

Gabriella now realised her mistake, they were jealous, especially Anna who was trying her best not to stare longingly at Jamie,

‘Then you must come with me.’

She said and they looked at her as if she had grown another head.

‘We can’t do that.’

Anna squeaked blushing furiously,
