Chapter Fifty Three

Mario held out his arm and saw the steel in her eyes as she took it, walking beside him silently he admired her strength. In any other circumstances he would have welcomed her as a bride for his son, she was incredible but she belonged to the man waiting downstairs.

He was beautiful, his hair was longer and he seemed taller and more powerful, everything in the room stilled when she walked in and his eyes raked over her. They had not seen each other for more than nine months and his eyes darkened with lust if anything Gabriella was even more beautiful than he remembered. Her red/gold hair hung in a shiny cape down to her knees and when he met her eyes he saw them flashing like jewels,

‘Come here’

He commanded and she glared back at him,

‘How dare you come here and start throwing around your orders. I am not one of your Guards’

Mario saw his Guards flinch at her defiance,

‘You will obey me, Gabriella.’

His voice was dangerously calm but he did not scare her.
