Sherlin walked out of the car and looked around for her daughter in the crowd of children running to their moms; “mama!” She turned around only to see Aahana running back to her.

A smile made its way to her lips as she sat on her knees and broadened her hands for her daughter to come into and hug her.

“Hey mama,” Aahana said as she smiled at her.

Sherlin’s heart filled with warmth, mama, she was Aahana’s mama. Being a mother changed her; changed her ways of looking at things; she was teaching Aahana manners, and she was her guardian, the one who loved her like no one else.

“Hey sweetie,” Sherlin rubbed her back before she pressed a kiss on her cheek.

“Come on, let’s go while you tell me about your adventures,” She said as Aahana nodded her head. Sherlin gave her hand to her hold but Aahana stopped for a second.

“Mama Aahana folgot something,” She said as she looked back at the school.

“Oh? Come I’ll go in and get it with you,” She said.

“Nope, you wait for me,” Aahan
