Rico is throwing cold stares in my direction as he grabs his cheek. Darkness is forming in his eyes, and I cannot help but feel the fear taking over my heart. I don’t show him any fear or sympathy.

He never showed mercy to me. I cannot even speak to anyone about the unexplainable things that he did to me. “Get out before I call the security!” I threaten him and just then the door of my room knocks twice.

While I am freaking out, I show him that I am not scared. His expression shifts from being a rebellious guy to someone who is easily aggravated. I walk toward the door hoping that he might find this as a warning and just when I twist the doorknob, the door falls open.

I watch my brother standing at the door, waiting for me. “Come on down for dinner, princess.”

His attention shifts and he looks behind me. My breath hitches and I am unable to speak in front of him. “Wait a minute!” he says to me, passing me and I press my lips together, mentally cursing at myself.
