Starvos weakness was Elizabeth and it was clear that everyone knows this. Despite being so tough and strong that even the most frightening monster was in front of him, he was always unfazed. He was never ill either except for that one week after he found out Elizabeth had left him.She had left him with a single paper that was called as her "final goodbye."Starvos who had been over the moon for their wedding couldn't help but check the guests invitations once again. The party hall that had been decorated with her favorite blue flower and every lovely that match her. All he wanted was a day for both of them to remember deeply to their deaths. In truth, both Starvos and Elizabeth had never told openly to each other the profess of love, as Starvos believed she was just shy. From the time they were engage until the day before their weddings, he had never once heard unwillingness of marrying him. She had never shown sign even after the human came to their lives. They enjoyed each other's
Starvos who had stepped forward scared her more and more. It was the same fear one would have when seeing a person who was presumably called dead coming back to the living. He was standing as though his organs hadn’t been destroyed by the poison. The blood stains were still there yet he looked fine. “Impossible! Impossible!” Betty shouted in fright. “It makes no sense! You were dying! Then why are you alright now?! This makes no sense!” Starvos didn’t reply and instead grabbed her by the wrist. Betty who was too surprised to know couldn’t help but lower her guard. Her wrist was shattered to powder at once when Starvos tightened his grip, causing for her to release her grip on the scythe she held. As the loud clank echoed from the falling scythe, Starvos picked them up in a languid movement. “You! You are not a simple werewolf!” She shouted, trying to remove herself from him but his tight hold was too strong for her to break away from. She screamed again, “No one told me about this!
Rose prepared for the impact of his finger on her body, still scared at the thought she would be his slave. But she couldn't move and Dominic was badly affected by the poison that made it impossible for him to protect her. Much to her surprise she could feel a hand pushing her behind for Natty's hand to fall on Dominic's shoulder instead. The sound of flesh being burned sharply sizzled next to her ears. Rose's green eyes shivered in horror as she saw how Natty's hand had come to a stop at Dominic's skin. She quickly pushed the man away, going beside Dominic as not only was he suffering from being poisoned he had also suffered another magic from the sorcerer. She held her hand over his wound, wishing for the wound to disappear as though chanting her wish in a form of magic. She hoped she could revert what had happened but she couldn’t. Her magic just won’t work as she wished, frustrating her. But more than that she had fallen into panic state where she didn’t know what she should do.
Rose couldn’t describe the reason for the man’s trust in her but she didn’t feel flattered at all. Her heart was heavy at the thought of how Dominic was running out of breaths. She had questions she needed answer from but she didn’t want to ask it now. She was pretending to inquire the sorcerers questions just to push the time longer. After closing her eyes she then said, “Let me talk to him again.” Natty shrugged his shoulders, simply letting her as she had no more path for herself to escape as she had reached the wall. Rose bent down to hold Dominic’s hand and she whispered gently beside his ears while holding her quivering breaths, “Everything will be alright. Everything.” Dominic couldn’t voice out his words again as the poison had taken his ability to speak. Unhesitatingly Rose leaned forward and kissed Dominic on his lips, startling the sorcerer who quickly pulled her away. This was suicide! She had kissed Dominic whose blood had been covered in poison. It was no different t
Rose almost thought that she had gone crazy from the poison that she drank or that she had lost her mind from the terror she’s been receiving from these sorcerers who were after her life. But she was certain she was still sane to know that what she had seen was true. She bite her lips. If the curse comes after Dominic, does that mean it wants to kill him? They came here happily after finding out that he was never cursed for being a werewolf only to find out that the truth is, Dominic was truly cursed. Rose bent down to take Dominic near to her, letting him to rest on her leg while she wiped away the sweat from his forehead. Her body had lost strength that she couldn’t move. She then looked at the woman again who only watched her as though she was some kind of a ghost. “Then do you know how to fix this?” She questioned in a heartbroken tone. Rose wasn’t dumb. She could tell to end such a terrible curse there must be an extreme price to be paid and the woman’s face confirmed to her fe
After the conversation with the King, Rose had instead left the balcony. She took the coat from her room, wrapping herself in it. As much as she wants to be beside Dominic now, she also know finding a cure to his curse comes before anything. The woman had not given her a time for when they have to meet but her heart tell her the longer she pushes it, the slimmer her chance to heal Dominic was. She stepped down the staircase, leading herself outside of the mansion without anyone’s noticing. As she reached out the gate, she managed to slipped out of the gates seeing how the guards didn’t see her as she slipped out due to her small structure. She, who had known the insides of the mansion due to Lady Catherine also knew there was another path to leave the mansion without needing to use the gate. She had gone to the garden for it, making her way through the heavy bushes and bent down to crawl out of the gate.As she slipped out, Rose walked down the lonely path until she saw the wagon. Sh
The hands grabbed her by her hair, her arms, and her legs. Rose immediately cast away her fear and tried to shake the hands around her, yet somehow the grips on her body was stronger than a touch of a human’s. It instead felt like the grip of an iron that no one could shake off from. The hands mercilessly pulled her inside the well even as Rose tried to scratch the hand that had pulled her golden hair. With its force, Rose fell to her knees, falling to the ground, and dragged by the hands around her. In panic, Rose looked around her, urgently searching for anything that would stop the hands, grasping the ground for an item when she found the sharp branch of a broke old pine tree. Holding to it tightly, Rose stabbed the hands with the branch, over and over again for a dark purple liquid to drip out from the hands. She could then hear ghastly howls and cries from the bottom of the well, the sound of a being suffering from pain that she guessed must have been her doing. Yet despite the
Rose prepared what was about to come to her, she knew that it wouldn’t be easy to eliminate the curse that had haunted Dominic. But to make a contract with demon? It was far from what she had ever imagined. Her heart sunk to the bottom of her stomach, knowing that this was the only method for her to save her beloved. She hesitated but not because of fear, but because she didn’t want to make decision without telling Dominic about it. She looked at the woman after a brief contemplation, “What will happen if I do form a contract with the demon?”“Many things, but I will tell you in order,” the woman patted the crow gently, “First, in the contract, there will be something that the demon will take away from you. The first sorcerer, she had signed the contract with the demon in exchange for power she could use to help the people she wanted to protect as well as giving those power to her friends. This was her pure wish and it’s why many sorcerers have the power like her.” “So our power ste
