Dominic didn’t think he needed to feel ashamed when he knelt. He always thought that having Rose was a blessing to him unlike how Rose have him.

He was ready to kneel down from the beginning thus why he had done so upon seeing the disapproval from Mr and Mrs Maury.

He could tell how startled and shocked both Mr and Mrs Maury are. They must haven’t expected this coming from him.

“Lord Dominic,” Mr Maury said in panic upon seeing Dominic knelt down. “Even if you do this. I will be troubled but I cannot still agree to letting you have Rose.”

“I know sir, madam,” Dominic replied. “My life was never blessed. I lived like an animal, fighting for my dear life and if I had a daughter, I would also not want her to marry such a man with a messy life like me. But I need Rose in my life. My body, my heart, and my soul it’s all bound with her.”

Mr. Maury frowned, “If you know then you also know that we love her dearly and we don’t want her to get hurt. Please, lord Dominic.”

For a moment it was as though their heads had been bashed. Mr. And Mrs Maury didn’t dare to say a single word as they wondered in their heads if they should pretend dumb or if they should be telling them the truth now. Looking at them, she only said, “It’s alright. I wasn’t traumatized by what happened. I know that I was kidnapped with Josie and how we almost faced deaths. I also recalled how I was sent to a church because I was separated when being saved by the travelers who found us.” Mrs Maury’s face paled as she leaned sideway to her husband. “No way… you remembered what happened?” “I didn’t,” confessed Rose. “But I tried to find out. Jayden Harding, he seemed to know me back when I was in the church so I retracted my memories.” “Jayden… that Jayden,” Mrs. Maury felt woozy that worried Rose. She went to her mother, giving her the cup of tea which she accepted. “It’s alright. I am just a little overwhelmed. Do your sister know about this too?” Rose remembered how she still ha

Starvos looked around, finding a couple who stared at him. He felt awkward as he noticed how long he had spent his time in front of the cemetery. Yet he was unable to move forward. “Did he perhaps forget something?” Asked the elderly woman to her husband. “Maybe he did? But what could you forget before coming to a cemetery? You don’t need a key so it won’t be a key. Then what else? Ohh! Maybe he forgot which tombstone is the person he wanted to visit,” said the elderly man. Starvos felt an itch on his lips. He looked behind at the elderly and sighed, “I know the tombstone and no, I don’t forget anything important!” “Then why are you standing still? I almost thought you’re a scarecrow with how big you are!” The elderly woman said to him. Starvos opened his mouth, wanting to retort only to shush his lips as he noticed how unreasonable he was for replying to the elderly couple.“Oh! Honey it must be that!” The elderly grandfather said. “Oh that!” Yelled his wife. Starvos wondered

“Hm that’s true,” he scoffed, “Then you should have known better than to visit the cemetery at night. Who were you visiting?” “Father,” said Shawn for Starvos to flinched. The topic of parents always made Starvos to suddenly turned silent. It’s because he couldn’t understand how parent children relationship work that he never understood what he should feel when talking about parents. Father, especially. Starvos grew up without parents. They were alive until he was fifteen but they were gone before he could feel their love. His parents never once took care of him. They were busy in their own lives. His father was busy to work under the King while his mother spent all her time with her friends. Then they died. Starvos recalled not having sadness or disappointment in him when his parents had died. He was never closed enough to them to feel anything for them. “I see,” was the only words that Starvos could say. “So, what about you?” Shawn questioned as though he was extremely intere

Starvos hummed. He could understand Shawn’s feelings and emotions well but he couldn’t advise him any good advice. He wondered what he would do in Shawn’s position and gently patted his back. “Apologize then,” Starvos showed him a big smile. “If you did hurt her, apologize and fix your problems together. That is the only way for you to rectify your mistake and for her to accept you again. If you don’t want to give up then, apologize. It’s only a single word. While it’s difficult and take a lot of courage, there are a lot lot of relationship which you could save simply by telling them, ‘I’m sorry.’”Shawn felt as though he had been enlightened. If this was his mother he had asked for advise, like the time when he had made a mistake to Dominic. He wasn’t taught to apologize. His mother instead condemned Dominic, twisting his personality. “I..” Shawn was in the middle of talking when Starvos’ eyes lifted up.“Oh there it is! We are in the town now,” Starvos stopped, letting for Shawn t

Rose gasped and her finger flinched hearing the sudden turn of event. Hatred filled Mona’s eyes that were before filled with warmth and love as she describe the girl that she had watched over like her own daughter. “The man is a devout believer in the Church. He one day saw her using magic. A magic. It was a healing magic. She casted it to the poor girl she found who had almost drowned. Not only that she had saved the girl, she had brought her to the surface and healed her head which was hit by the rock.” “And he saw her.”“He did,” Mona confirmed. “He thought she was killing the girl instead. So he pushed her away from the girl. She begged to him not to stop her. Even though she was heartbroken, she didn’t want to stop her treating magic as she didn’t want the girl to die from the loss of blood. But out of anger and disappointment, he pushed her away. No. It would be much better to say it this way. He shoved her down to the same river that had caused the girl to drown. While she fe

Harsh wind brushed against Rose’s pink cheeks. She had rode a horse before. But this was much more dangerous than any rides she had ever been in! She wasn’t joking when she described a ride with Mona’s horse was equivalent to courting death!Mona didn’t care if there was a tree in front of them and make her turn as sharply as possible that made Rose forgot they had even rode a horse. The horse continued to gallop as though they were running after demons from behind them even though they weren’t!“Mo-Mona!” Shouted Rose on top of her tongue. “I think you could tone down your ride a little!”“What?!” Mona shouted as she couldn’t hear Rose’s voice. “You want me to slow down?! Sorry but I can’t! Remember that we don’t have much of a time. Our first priority is your sister and Dominic!” “Yes I know that!” But now she feared before she could ever save Dominic from death, she would be the first meeting death herself. “Just hold on a little! We are almost there!!” Mona shouted even louder.

Yellow lights filled the path. Tall buildings covered her left and right. The people all around her dressed moderately. They looked nothing different than any other cities one will find when they visit in Essex. It had the same layout, except how most of them seemed to be more advanced whether it was by their style of clothing, the objects they held, or their aura. Mona held her hand, calling for her attention, “Don’t get overwhelmed, remember? If you do get overwhelmed, you would forget where you are and lost yourself in this amount of people.” Roses sighed and nodded. She quickly pulled herself together and walked beside Mona. “Where are we going first? The woman whose name is Barlene, do you think you will know where she is?” Rose asked the question at once but mona didn’t mind. She smiled, “Let’s see. Out of everyone that I know, in fact, Barlene is the only person who had sent me letters. She checked up on me each month, asking if I am alright and don’t worry about the situat

But it seemed to be impossible now after seeing that she couldn’t use her magic. Barlene smiled and patted her back, “But you know I do have a way that would help you from being captive by your magic so you can use another source of power without using your magic!” Rose’s eyes widened and sparkles of happiness filled her eyes. She didn’t believe what she heard and felt as though her hope had been lifted up by Barlene’s words. “You do?” Rose eagerly questioned. “Yes, it’s not a method known but I heard that there are indeed sorcerers who couldn’t use their magic. Thus why they learned of another method of using magic which is by borrowing magic.” “That’s great, I never thought of that option,” p

Gallahan faced off Balbazor alone. It was a crazy feat to not even die after receiving the harmful attack that was made to eradicate humans and Gallahan’s performance so far have shocked everyone including Balbazor himself. “You are agile,” commented Balbazor. “But if this tentacles weren’t around me, I would have destroyed you in seconds by now.” “Making excuses now? When you killed my family with your curse, you were extremely silent. I’ll put that mouth of yours to rest too,” Gallahan quirked a smirked, urging anger and fuming Balbazor. The ancient demon opened his mouth again but this time, Gallahan had a smarter option. Rather than shielding himself, he rushed forward. Balbazor smiled, thinking how foolish this human is for coming on to him face to face but he was startled as he saw Gallahan had dodged his previous explosion attack. This time, Gallahan murmured a spell and a sharp blue light appeared from his hand which went straight directly to Balbazor’s thick neck. The an

“Brother, are we not related?” Young Shawn’s voice echoed against his ears. Dominic looked down at the child that had overheard the conversation of the adult. Gently he wrapped his fingers around his brother’s little ones and gave him a gentle smile, “Does it matter? Nothing will change even if we aren’t related, you will always be my brother.”Back to the present, Dominic found himself yelling at Shawn’s name as Balbazor had thrown a powerful magic at them. Rose’s eyes snapped open, showing the glistening green eyes of her had changed into purple. At the same time she uttered her spell, the wall broke. Dominic took no chance. He jumped from the staircase, landing down his two feet as a wolf and ran after Shawn. Surprisingly, Gallahan had stood in front of Shawn, shielding them both from the explosion. “I told you to stay away child!” Gallahan yelled to Rose who had rebuilt the wall.“I can help you ease the miasma,” she said, convincing the man only to see him frowning in disagre

Although there are other pressing matter she couldn’t help and pointed out, “You can be clothed now?” “Hm?” Dominic looked down on himself, “Right I got taught by the other werewolves how to do that the last time we met.” Rose smiled, thinking how surely the relationship between him and his father had evolved into something closer where they could teach and talk to each other eye to eye. Seeing the progress, she felt moved. “Well what is with this Balbazor?” Dominic pushed the door open for her, they both entering the mansion only to feel the ground beneath them shaking. “He is the ancient demon who had formed contract with the first sorceress. Shawn could feel that demon had no pity or hesitation on him, willingly killing anyone who stood on his way. For a moment Shawn questioned how he could ever kill this monstrous being in front of him, finding it abhorrent that his entire instinct yelled that killing it would be close to impossible. Even coming near the monster he could feel the brimming heat that would burn his skin. “Shawn,” Gallahan called his attention to make sure the younger man wouldn’t feel daunted and eaten alive by his own fear. Shawn then watched Gallahan who in comparison seemed to be eagerly waiting for this chance to come his hand. It was something he had been waiting for a long time… finally he could avenge the death of his family who all ended due this demon’s twisted curse! “I want to kill you, you won’t even believe how much I have been looking forward to this day. Dominic’s silver eyes also noticed the swirl of purple glow from the black mansion and turned his head again to the view before him. “What did you and the Master talked about?” Inquired Dominic while they run through the forest. “I told him that I will do something about the demon inside Isaac if he could help me end my curse but then he surprised me by saying that he doesn’t need help.” Rose responded. “I trust him.” “I do think he is someone who wouldn’t hurt his fellow sorcerer, you weren’t wrong in trusting him,” Dominic encouraged her. “But that sound too good to be true. He always ask people for payment if he help them.” “He did ask for something, he said to continue fooling my demon, Babylion,” uttered Rose. “I asked him why and he told me so he could use Babylion to kill that ancient demon in response.”“So this entire charade is because of him.” Dominic narrowed his eyes.
