By the way they bickered it was obvious they were hiding something, and I wondered if my assumption had been correct.

“Mykel it’s not only you that could be affected, but the entire pack. Please just think of someone other than yourself”

“Lilith I won’t say it again. Drop it” Mykel snarled at her his eyes changing to that of his wolf letting her know his decision was final only Lilith wasn’t going to back down. I watched the way she held her own against him left me envious. I could only wish to obtain but a fraction of her strength. Anyone that had spent time with them could tell they had been through a lot, if only they knew the true extent of it.

“Is this something to do with you being a silver wolf?” They both instantly went quiet their eyes shooting to me, their jaws hitting the floor as I uncovered the secret they fought to protect.

“How did you…” Lilith was the first to speak while Mykel remained stunned and wide eyed.
