Twenty-Nine

Raven’s POV

As Mykel led me further into the dark passageway, I couldn’t help but wonder how big this place really was. The screams of the man I had no doubts belonged to the shooter rang in my ears as we approached his cell. Though when Mykel opened the door it felt as if time had stood still. My face fell as I took in the man before me. A cold shiver ran through me as the blood drained from my face. It wasn’t that he had been tortured and beaten that had me feeling nauseous, but the fact I knew him.

“Tim?” His head whipped round at the sound of my voice until both Mykel and Elijah growled causing him to look back at the floor. He may be human, but he knew how our hierarchy worked and knew not to get on the wrong side of an Alpha. Or so I had thought.

“You know him” Mykel’s eyes darkened as he glared at me, his Alpha aura threatening to suffocate me. “How?” Instinct told me to run, to hide and cower from his threatening gaze. But not this time. I had come to far to shy away now. Stan
