"It's so funny how I am not in the least bit worried. Are you?" I said to Emily.We had been walking for quite sometime, going in the direction we thought we could find a gem. We went back as silently as we had arrived, stealthily and quietly moving through the forest. We arrived just when a fight was ending. I could see incapacitated wolves on the ground groaning in pain, most of them not our own.I looked around and saw Emmanuel limping, there was a huge tear on his shin which was slowly closing up. Mitchel was seated grinning from ear to ear on one of the wolves on the floor."Damn it" shouted Emmanuel and he walked towards where we stood watching everything."How did it go?" I hardly had any sleep the night before, staying beside Emily most of the time or going back out to the reception to stay with Joshua and Bryan. The alarm sounded and I ran as far as I could to the farthest edge of the arena, I leaned on the glass and watched as some of the fights ensued. Gunshots rang as one of the players pulled out her glock guns. And everybody spread far away from the bullets.I looked up just in time to see the sharp edge of a sword aimed at my head and I swiftly got out of the way. We formed a long line. I stood at the forefront with Emily right behind me, and then the rest of the class followed. We managed to keep several inches between ourselves right until the last person.I looked at Jonathan, indicating that we were ready. A shot came out of nowhere. I was facing Hades and we were both talking about something, now that I think about it I can't remember what it was we were talking about, but a shot came high above from the left side and it came for me. Hades was fast and immediately removed me from the position, and I heard the loud boom that followed it's impact on where I just left. Hades held me tight to him and we were suddenly moving very fast. The guards that were hiding immediately appeared and surrounded us. They had shields out that were covering I and Hades as we rushed back to the palace. Several other loud sounds followed us, very close to where we were but managed not to hit anyone. We were soon inside the palace and I could hear barks of orders from Hades as he shouted at the guards. We went home silently and uneventfully. The barrier was easy to breach of course with the help of forest whom by the way I hadn't seen once on this entire trip, I was too down and exhausted to play with him and all I wanted to do was go to sleep. The royal demon wolf guards were waiting for us when we arrived and they immediately escorted us back to the castle.The castle was quiet when we arrived, almost as if it had been completely cleared out before we arrived. I woke up the next day happy and feeling lighter than I have felt in a very long time. I left Hades on the bed and went ahead with my morning body routine in the bathroom and dressed down before leaving our room. It was around eight and I knew Hades would stay asleep till early noon. I was sure we didn't have any plans.went to the kitchen and immediately made toast and then made coffee in a takeaway cup before leaving the castle through the side door. We spent the rest of the evening soaking up in the tub before we came out and finally got that wash down from my husband. We both came out of the bathroom and then into the closet room before dressing up as comfortably as we could."I will have the servants ready the snacks. We went back to the castle silently. The mood between us was dull and tense, like a tight rope being stretched, any moment now it would reach its elastic limit and snap. I could just feel it. We walked into the castle and I could see that Hades was struggling to say something."Let me go freshen up" I said softly to Hades without looking at him.I immediately turned and walked away, climbing the stairs and getting back into our room. I needed some privacy. I walked into the bathroom and shut the door, then immediately pulled out my body care products. I felt the need to pamper myself. I needed to distract myself from everything or I felt like I would just shatter.I spent most of the day first of all taking care of my hair. It was now long rather than the short hair it used to be, and now hair wash days were no longer a breeze the way they used to be. It took me forever to pre-poo, then shampoo, deep condition, leave in conditioner and then seal my hair, before finally styled it.

"You do know that most of us at the academy were related to royalty one way or the other right?" She asked incredulously."Really? I always just thought your grandparents or fathers were all commanders or something" I replied."Well about seventy percent yes.
