The elevator pinged open on the twentieth level of the building. The personnel went ahead of us and we followed immediately after them.The opulent floor with its high ceiling windows and expensive chairs spoke volumes about the kind of consultations they did here.I couldn't imagine how we left the dump we were staying in only to drive for an hour to get to this rich, busy looking city. The doctor was dressed in scrubs and he had a face mask over his nose. He had me lie down properly on the chair and placed my feets up in the stirrups. I was still partially dressed inside my hospital gown and I was still wearing my boy shorts. Nobody was going to see me down there whether we were acting or not.The doctor took a partition and covered half my body, I couldn't see what he was doing on the other side. I was tense and waited silently for any wrong movement before attacking him.Luckily he did nothing and I only heard the sounds of tearing and metal clanking against the other. I looked away from them and focused on Karis. I heard their voices as Commander Albert dished out orders and they responded. I also missed the last look Achu threw over his shoulders at us before they all leapt out of the van. My focus was all on Emily, her eyes were closed as she lay on the ground, her breathing was slow and her heart rate was definitely going down. Her blood had soaked through her clothing and now formed a small puddle beside her, she didn't have long if I didn't do anything about it.I didn't even know what I was supposed to do for her, I knew the practical version of the procedure when it was performed on Emily.I had never tried it on anybody else and now here I was, someone's life in my hands.I called onto my wolf, needing her help to do this. We walked out of the room and met Commander Susan outside hers, she had been waiting for us. I didn't think I had ever met a woman who pulled off the old, elegant and powerful look the way she did. And she was dressed in killer clothes."We have a hunch, and we need to follow that through to the end. Commander Jim apparently lost connection with us about the last hour before this one. That means two things, either he is in a situation where he can't communicate, or he has been compromised. It seems he had been able to track our delegates down. Your mission is to trace him to the last possible location we have on him. Find out what happened to him and confirm if our delegates are indeed there.
