Chapter 5

Liam's Pov:

Startled,we pulled apart and turning to see who has interrupted.

“Oh my God,Sophia"

What are you doing here?”i asked.

“Oh sorry,I didn’t realize you two were umm…busy”she said.

We weren’t “I said.

Right”Sophia said,raising her eyebrows. 

Ava cleared her throat, giving me a small smile. "Well," she said, "I should probably get going."

I nodded, my heart sinking. "Right," i said. "See you tomorrow."

Ava headed for the door and didn’t even look back 

I wondered if she thought Sophia and I were more than friends 

 “Let’s go”Sophia said walking past me.

Hold on,soph”I said trying to hold her back.

“What are you doing here”I asked

“No,no,you don’t get to hold on to me now”she said

I could see the hurt in her eyes and I felt terrible.

“I thought we had something special,I thought we were best friends and you could feel my feelings for you ,but then you go and kiss a random human girl”she said

I..I didn’t know what I was thinking.

“I know it’s wrong for me to kiss her but I never knew your feelings for me were true,I only saw you as my best friend and I am so sorry soph”

“It’s fine,Liam “

“No,it’s not,I don’t want it to look like I ignored you”

“So then,it was just a fling?”sophia asked.

“I don’t know about that but all I know is that I felt something within me,it was an urge and I’ve never felt that before”I said

What did you feel Liam”she asked,her voice was quiet and firm.

I hesitated, unsure of how much to share. "It was intense," i said. "It felt like my body was on fire, and I could hear every sound around me so clearly. I could smell everything, and it was overwhelming. And then there was this power inside me, this urge to run and hunt. It was...scary.

Wow,Liam”she said screaming.

What”I asked literally so confused of where she is getting at

“You just had your first transformation,you need to tell your dad about it and you need to stay away from her”Sophia said.

“Why do I have to stay away from her”I asked

Because she’s human Liam and because you can’t be getting urge and letting it take over you,you can literally kill someone when you transform without you learning how to control it”she said

“This is too much for me,let’s just go home”I said.

So we walked back home because the place where the party took place  wasn’t far from my house and I climbed my windows and soon as my body touched my bed,I slept off smiling sheepishly.

As I woke up,I checked my phone expecting a message but I didn’t get one from Ava.

So I freshened up,wore my pair of Jean and a shirt,then I walked downstairs and there it was.

That look on my dad’s face and there was Sophia sitting opposite him

“Liam,I cannot believe that you disobeyed me and went to the party and not only did you do that,you kissed a human girl “he said.

I looked at Sophia and I was so angry at her.

“Dad,it was just a kiss”I said.

“Just a kiss?,do you know what you have gotten yourself into ?”he asked

I was curious,was there something more to this,was there a reason dad didn’t want us close to human,I know it’s a rule among us but he never told me the reason”

“Calm down honey”my mum tried to calm him down 

“Calm down?”I allowed him to go to school with just a simple rule but he couldn’t even keep to it”

He looks at me

“I am so disappointed and I don’t want to see your face right now”

All I did was walk out the door with sophia and Nora behind me.

“I cannot believe that you could betray me soph”I said.

“Hey,Liam,it’s not that way,I was so excited that I told your dad about your transformation and he wanted to know how it happened,I was suprised that he was more focused on the kiss than on the transformation “she said.

Or maybe you were jealous that I kissed her instead of you “I said.

Excuse me?”sophia retaliated.

“You wanted my lips so bad that you had to go spill the beans to get me separated from her”I said not caring whether it hurt her or not cause how dare she do that.

Then she slapped me 

“Fine,if this is how you want it,and you can go to school alone with Nora cause I won’t be entering this damn car”,she said walking away from us 

“I don’t need you anyways “I screamed after her

“Get in the car Nora”I said

Then I heard a voice.

“Liam,Nora”

It was mom.

“You didn’t eat anything,you can’t leave on empty stomach”

But dad just said..

“Come on,you know your dad,he didn’t mean all those things,he was just angry”

Ain’t you hungry?”

“I’m so hungry”Nora said holding her tummy.

So we laughed it off and followed mum into the house 

And dad was already sitting at the table

As mum shared the food,I noticed dad’s hands were shaking.

“Is he really that scared that I kissed a human or is there something else?”

“Dad”I said 

“I don’t want to speak to you right now”he said and walked out of the dining room.

“Honey”my mum tried to call him back

“He will be fine”she said.

“Finish up”

So we finished the breakfast and we left the house and headed towards my car

I looked around but couldn’t see Sophia

Then we drove to school.
